Even though some one else started Signe, I use her sometimes as she is not password protected. The brutes I mostly use are Stepford Signe, thejeni (because I knew it would tickle Lantyssa!), FatOldBastard, Young Alex, and Bullemia. Bullemia is my favourite because her name has "bull" in it and she has a whip!  I also like FatOldBastard. Still, they mostly suck. I doubt I'll play long and I haven't been playing every day. As rk47 said - it's pretty hollow. Mindless diversions are more of a winter thing for me. |

I'm in The West as Shunned (for almost a week, I think) but not part of the town quite yet. Even when I'm away from the computer, I get Righ to keep me up to date. I'm still trying to figure out what to be, but I have a couple of levels to go before that anyway.

I got a baton last level. Either I never pull it out, I pull it out when I have one soft hit's worth of life left, or I toss it after using it once. I'm pretty sure I'll continue sucking forever.

Trippy tricked me. He made me think he was an easy target so I fought him and got stomped. I can't believe how pathetic my brute is, and she seems to get weaker every level. If I pull out my Baton early on and don't throw it away I'm actually pretty tough to beat. The Baton has range over most of the weapons at my level range so it can keep people from hitting me with clubs, axes, swords, knifes etc. I have a decent amount of HPs (plus a potion now) to make up for my relatively low damage and have a net to hold pets. So "on paper" it's actually a pretty nice, defensive setup, but unfortunately the AI screws me over more times than not. |

They must give a link to you, in order for you to become their pupil by registering a new character. Some sort of retarded referral system that gives exp when that pupil levels up.
Falconeer's nailed it though. There is not much of a game here. You just pick three opponents and that's it. You either get 3-6 EXP a day max from fights. Which defeats the purpose of battling in arena when everyone just game the system with unique IP pupil spam. Check the highest level and see the number of pupils and you'll understand what I mean. And the passive combat didn't help lol. If I could at least set up a gambit system on which weapon to throw and power ups to use at least there's some sort of strat to play each character's strengths instead of 'Look for a nub one level below you to win more often'

Because the purpose of the site to its owners is as a traffic magnet. The guy who won the last tournament has a level 51 character because he's directing traffic toward their website (or cheating), and in turn the My Brute! site sends traffic to their other games. Which I assume, and appear to, have actual profit mechanisms.
The game is pointless and shallow, and that itself is another reason why you have 3 fights a day and not 20. With 20 fights, you run out of content (new abilities) very quickly. If they made it so people progressed at the same rate and THEN made the fights 20 or 50, people would get tired of having to grind out their fights every day (or get tired of it more quickly).
What probably should be allowed is fighting people after your limit of 3 without xp being involved. That way I could spam Lantyssa with red messages and allow her to realize how much she sucks.
