I turned on the Canucks game after it was 20-0, and saw later it was 20-3. WTF? A Chicago loss would have A) helped the Seahawks down the road in tie breakers, and 2) clinched the F13 Survival crown for me. Fucking Cardinals.

Lowest yards ever for that amount of rushes. That ending was all kinds of awesome..... and the postgame press conference with Denni Green was fucking great. Green ExplodesHad I been Green, I might have taken that mike back into the locker room and shoved it down Rackers' throat before extracting it rectally and stringing it through the entire Offensive line in the same manner. String 'em up like paper snowflake decorations at Christmas. What little I watched of the game looked atrocious. If the Cardinals had any kind of an offensive line, they'd be 6-0. Leinart appears to be that good, we know what James can do and even without Larry Fitzgerald, Boldin and the other receivers are money. That first sack/fumble for a TD the Bears got was a crime. For a tackle to just ignore a defensive lineman like that is criminal.

Cardinals screwed me up enough so that you won our game at least. -5 from grossman was too much to overcome even with TOs great game and a nice 25 from the chitown D . If only I started Phillip Rivers but hell who would have guessed the Cards were gonna show up for 3 quarters.

Weeee, I think I'm going to be 7-0 unless Jeremy Shockey puts up 40 points.
I really hate having to watch Cardinals v. Raiders for my 1pm game. I'm not sure how many drops Moss had in that game, might have been around 6. Edge runs the football like a scared girl. Part of that is the o-line sucking eggs, but the man just refuses to take the small holes he's given.
Pit/Atl game was just crazy.

I watched the Carolina/Cincy game in lieu of the Steelers/Falcons and probably should have watched the latter. The Panthers pissed away an easy victory, Jake Delhomme throwing his first ever redzone INT. The Bengals looked AWFUL, though. Their O line couldn't block anybody. I'm still trying to figure out how they managed to not get blown out by the Panthers, but I'm guessing it's because Fox didn't shove Deshaun Foster down their throats until they choked. He seemed to interested in providing a balanced attack, which is fine unless you have a team like the Bengals who roll over for runs up the middle. I think Fox's is just scared Foster will break a toenail and miss the rest of the season. You'd think Fred Taylor was on the team.
Speaking of Taylor, what the fuck happened to the Jags? You don't get beat 27-7 by Houston. You just don't. You lose by a field goal or something, but you don't get bitchslapped that bad. It just shouldn't happen.
My late game was the Colts/Redskins. I think I've figured it out. The Colts' strategy this year is rope-a-dope. Spend the first half looking like you can't quite get everything together, then assrape the team in the second half. And they did. Boy did they ever. The final score was 36-22 but it wasn't that close after the first half. Addai is the real deal, and if he isn't starting in lieu of Rhodes by next season, I'll be surprised. They've lost nothing with the Edge going to Arizona to get his colon pounded. In that system, Addai is going to be as good as Edge. Reggie Wayne is still money.
I was also happy to watch Clinton Portis take a helmet shot directly to his jewels. To his credit, he managed to make it to the sidelines before curling up in a fetal position of pain. But it made me cringe and walk funny.

I got to see the Pittsburg/Atlanta game. That was a GREAT game. Porbably the best game I've watched this year. In between that I got to first spin into a depression because the Bucs forgot to tackle Westbrook and hand the game back to Philly, to leaping around my basement like a maniac to see that they won with a 62 yard field goal.
This weekend was a great weekend for football.

Jesus I thought Edge would at least get some points against the lowly Raiders. Still, the Roosters have a chance at their second win if Eli sucks tonight. Go Dallas!

All I need is Plaxico to catch like 20-25 yards tonight and I'll win.
What the fuck is wrong with the Cards? When you can't even beat the Raiders, you suck hard. Coming on the heels of last week's utter gag reflex collapse, I think their season is done.

I was about 200 feet away when it happened...I thought for sure he was done for the season the way he reacted. They will lose to KC this week, but I think they can beat Oakland and SF with Seneca Wallace (especially if Shaun comes back after the KC game). The O line needs to get its fucking act together, and the D needs to quit giving up huge, game-changing plays.
It definitely could have been worse, but it fit wit h the rest of the shitty day. Ugh.

This 3 game slide is killing me. Well, 2 games if I can find a way to make sure Burress doesn't make it to the Meadowlands in the next hour.

Eli again pulls my feet out of the fire and performs well on Monday Night putting up a respectable 17 points. The big difference maker on my team? Steve Smith, without a doubt. What he is to the Carolina Panthers, he is that and so much more to my team.
0-2 without him, 4-1 with him and that one loss was a 90 pointer to the Pigs.

Heh. I think there will be an opening in the desert soon if you fancy taking a new job running a nearly NFL quality team.

I've already clinched a winning record :-D
I don't particularly like my matchups this week except Boldin v. the Packer's secondary and Rudi against the Atlanta front 4. No major BYEs, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit Frank Gore v. the Chicago D. I just see the Niners getting beat about 70-0.
Edit: Oooh, all of my games are 10am/1pm games. It's nice knowing your weekly score early. I hate Monday night stunners.

Ouch, at least this loss was close. I barely remember my undefeated days (1-0!) after this 6 game skid. I felt like things were going to turn around for me next week, until I realized I needed to add a defense to cover a bye and seriously considered the Browns before switching to the Jets, because they are playing the Browns. Either way, relying on the Browns is a bad thing.
Also, fuck the Steelers for fumbling so many fucking balls. Also, fuck the training staff, why the fuck does every other player on the team have a hamstring injury this year? I guess they have a shot still because the rest of the division is a joke, but talk about digging a fucking hole for yourself. Fuck.
At least the Pens look a lot better. I wonder if it would be inappropriate to keep rooting for them if they moved to Canada, since I haven't actually lived in Pittsburgh for 15 years now?

Nah, Vick's just the only QB I have worth trading, and I figure I don't need him now that Peyton's bye week is over. I'll send you another unless you are totally uninterested in Vick.

Heeeey... this 2nd trade is looking quite possible. I'll have to check any bye week issues and will probably accept later tonight.

This quote from my #1 draft pick pretty much sums up my season: "I don't know, it's making me look like I can't even run or something, and I've been running forever," [Edgerrin James] said. "All of a sudden, we're at a standstill." James said he was warned about signing with the Cardinals, although he wouldn't say where the warnings came from. "Man, I wasn't prepared for this, I rally wasn't. It's not what I seen when making my decision, man. I don't know what we're doing. It seems like every week, it's something new. It's all new to me. It's not happening. It's really not happening." IT'S NOT HAPPENING!

Here's a hint, Edge. You went from running behind a top 5 offensive line to running behind barely moving sacks of meat in pretty red uniforms. There are few runners that can succeed despite their O Line sucking monkey ass (Barry Sanders being one of them). When that runner is at, near or over the age of 30, there are even fewer.
Trust me, Edge, it isn't you that sucks, it's your O Line. Buy them some arsenic-laced steaks and start over.

Dunno if you've watched him run lately, but part of it is him not adjusting to way his line blocks (or doesn't block as the case may be). Holes are closing while he's still dancing around in the back field. The guy could get more yardage if he'd quit pretending he's Barry Sanders and just start busting through those holes as they appear. They don't run the stretch play in AZ for a reason, the fatties up front aren't talented enough to pull it off. A runner like Tiki Barber would average near 4 yards a carry with the Cardinals line. Edge may end the season under 3.

Edge probably started the season with a one cut and go mentality, but after 6 games of getting hammered, he's just taken to dancing automatically when the ball's handed to him. Post-traumatic stree syndrome. Same thing that happens to rookie QB's when they get slammed to the turf over and over. He's running based on a line blocking scheme that isn't there, and couldn't be there anyway because the O line is so bad. I'm afraid it's going to be a long season for him.

Don't look at me. It has to go through a waiting period unless the Commish goes ahead and approves it, I think.
Oh and Peyton pwned this weekend, but Reggie was even more money. I swear watching the Colts, it looks like they just toy with their opponent in the first half, then show up to play the second half. What Denver D? Now, if they could just pull that off in the playoffs, they'd be golden.
Carolina needs to learn how to play 4 quarters. They aren't even averaging 2 quarters. They did the same thing against Cincy, started out strong then petered out. They seem to have abandoned the running game as their bread and butter, and that's what's killing them on offense. They don't get 3rd and 4's they get 3rd and 8's after running for 2 yards, passing incomplete and then Delhomme gets sacked. And apparently they've ALL forgotten how to catch a pass, because there were drops that should have been easy. Keyshawn looked lost.
Tampa Bay looks lost too. Galloway and Clayton both dropped big play passes, passes that hit them RIGHT ON THE HANDS. It was despicable, and I hate the Bucs. I don't think the Giants should worry too much about Barber retiring at the end of this year, Brandon Jacobs looks like a good replacement, provided they can get a rookie change of style back to spell him.

How can you hate my sad, sad Bucs? Only game I was able to watch part of this weekend was the Colts/Broncos game. What I saw, it was awesome. Reggie Wayne would be a #1 WR on most other teams in the league.
