Do we want to do this again? How about a Survival League? Just bringing it up since the draft times are going bye bye fast.

I have never played WoW.

I say we do both- a regular fantasy league (NO HEAD 2 HEAD!!!) and a survival league. If you want to run it this year, try to get a draft time as close to opening day as possible.

Man, I can't believe it is already time for this (although I ordered my FFI mag a few weeks ago). WOOOHOOOO!

(NO HEAD 2 HEAD!!!)

Pussy

Let me expand on this: head to head makes it interesting and this is coming from someone that's been screwed by the system in just about every season. Otherwise, where's the drama? Where's the upsets? Where's the Arcadian del Sols that have the worst point total yet somehow finish in first and make the playoffs?

Dunno, pure points race seems boring.

I'm in, don't remember how I missed this last time.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

Pure points will reflect more accurately who has put together the better team. H2H has too many luckbox wildcards.

That being said, I am in either way. I need to feed the dragon.

That's true.  But at least for me in H2H it feels like I'm assembling a team, not balancing a spreadsheet.

I'm in, with a vote for head to head.  Added bonus for everyone as I'll miss some of the first month with the wedding and honeymoon.

I'm in, I think we should just have 2 leagues going personally.  One real one for those of us that can handle it and one spreadsheet league.

Ok I will starts a H2H called Bat Country.

Problem: The draft has to be early August if we want anything after 5pm EDT. Is a 5pm EDT draft a deal breaker for anyone?

I have never played WoW.

It is for me if it is on a weekday. I work until 5 or so PDT.

Weekend - anytime is fine.

Weekday - It would have to be after 8pm edt for me and not on a friday at all.

Done. Same rules as last year. Live draft is 8/15/06 at 9pm EDT.

League ID: 115582
pwd: f13dotnet

14 slots. First come, first serve.

I do not see the option for a survival league, at least under the free games.

I have never played WoW.

I find the lack of linkage disturbing.  I know you guys did something through EA last year but give me a sign-up link anyways.

I can lock the league at the current teams or leave it open. I prefer smaller leagues, but I will defer to the group. I have found that anyone who doesn't sign up early is generally not that interested, usually resulting in participants who don't make roster changes on bye weeks etc.

In fact, I am going to close it. If we get two more people who express enthusiastic interest, I can open it up again for them.

I'm enthusiastic!  I just don't check the fantasy sports forum religiously in the offseason!  I even won a few years ago, so I promise to be anal and min/max my lineup every week like a good catass!

The Roosters crow again, motherbitches!  Prepare to the pwnzor3d.

Thanks Shiznitz.

Yeah, well it is a balancing act. I could play with the rosters to avoid crappy-WR-itis maybe. For instance, I have seen leagues with 2 QB slots, but that means several people will have a t least one QB on bye for half the season which sucks more.

I have never played WoW.
