Yeah, his aoe can now be directed, rather than lying at his feet ;  that change alone rocks my socks.

Also, it pains me to do this but I am now entirely prepared to say that X-23 can be fun and is significantly easier to play than Wolverine.

Are you happy now ?

I still don't like her as a hero or concept. I think 'female Wolverine' was always fan service wank, but that's what Venom became too (whom I hated also), so I guess I'm just old.  But playing objectively now that I've got my build for her all happy, I have to say that she's the fun version of Logan and, going back to Logan, he seems really, really clunky.

So, guess even I can change my mind about stuff.

Her story is actually pretty darn good as well, since it wasn't actually made by comic book people originally.

The TLDR: on her is that where Logan was a failed Weapon X experiment, Laura was a successful one. So while they both share the 'trying to find our humanity' angle, they come at it from utterly opposite ends of the spectrum.

For anyone interested, Ultron seems to be a viable pug thing. So far, I've gotten gold on all of the opening stages and only missed gold on Ultron himself twice and that was mostly a matter of people not blowing their Ultimate. I rolled trough maybe 10 times over the weekend. The whole thing takes about 20 minutes which is just enough for me.

He's been PUGable since the 2nd week, at least at the Bonze level. Now that people aren't trying to haul 3rd and 4th tier alts through he's going to be pretty solid, since folks are bringing their best character instead of what they "have" to play for quests/ whatever.

New code JACKOLANTERN for a recipe for a Jack O' Lantern spotlight costume visual. Basically it's a pumpkin underneath your hero when you brut strike.

Magik is on her way soon™

https://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/245073/magik-hero-preview/p1  May be pretty close to a classic diablo Necro, I know a few folks were wanting that kind of class.

-edit-

https://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/245326/deadpool-level-52-preview and Deadpool's review is FINALLY coming.

How do you get the Trick or Treat buff stacks? I got a stack of 5 a couple of times without paying any attention to what was going on but now that I'm trying to intentionally increase my stack from 3 to 5 I of course haven't been able to get any for the last 2 days.

They're little drop buffs, that look like pumpkins. Similar to the 'target' buffs you can get from other events.

They may not be dropping anymore though, as we've changed events.

They are not very good at turning off certain parts of events, i have no idea why this shit isn't automated.  Last omega week the Coulson mission stuck around for 2 extra weeks, the second one without rewards.

I still just cannot for the life of me find a Rogue Build that will get me to 60.  It's always either boring or fiddly or fiddly and boring or just stupid.  (Running around with Osmium skin and bone claws was particularly retarded.)

Getting to 60 easy is usually a matter of spirit sustain and good aoe, so grab some spirit passives and a good aoe like magnetos and explode your way to 60.

The defensive itemization changes on the test center are... troublesome.  ACK!

Characters that were face tanking Cosmic Midtown on live are being turned into swiss cheese on test currently. More tuning inc etc.

I believe the current spin as of yesterday was that damage had yet to be tuned to match the new defense plan.

If they hit their target goals then you won't need to re-gear but you would notice a difference if you did invest in more defense. That's the goal anyways. Currently they just reduced mob dmg again on today's TC and in CMM Man Ape is still one shotting everything in sight (2 shotting with normal attacks) while trash mobs are hitting for 3-6k per hit. So they're a long ways away still.

So if, like me, you haven't played Heroes in almost 2 weeks because Fallout came out you probably missed Magik being released.

Wife told me they patched today and she's on the screen. Makes sense with a Holiday coming on the usual patch day. Enjoy.
