Kitty is pretty awesome as long as you stay away from the dragon tree.
But Lockheed is so cute! Edit: new page, added quote

Yeah, i wish i could have him out without using the toggle. The dragon powers are lowish damage and very long animation times though.

The fireball is a great trash clearer at low levels, though.

Yeah I'm finding Lockheed works great pre 30 because her melee powers were sucking. I'll play up more in a bit and expect that to change because even the channeled fire breath is starting to be ineffective.

I need more buttons slots for Dr. Strange. Stupidly powerful but stupidly complex to match.

Yeah. I'm curious what they're going to do with his review. Gut the button flipping or embrace it.
I can't ever flip bars fast enough to be super effective with him. It's always a struggle of missed cool downs or ignored procs.

His review is going to be officially adding two more bars on your screen My big hurdle with him leveling up is I don't have the right items to fuel his full output properly yet. I can run out of spirit really easily if I try to use EVERYTHING.

Yeah, since I've rerolled him twice I remember that well. (His name looks good in blue.) I wound-up using a build similar to this for leveling: http://marvelheroes.info/build/4031/Yeah it goes a bit slower, but Winds and Flames and 7 Suns is more than enough for most mobs. I barely even used Fangs or Images outside of boss fights. I never dropped a point in Astral Form either and didn't see any problems. I'm torn on if Demons of Denak or Vapors of Valtorr were more effective when leveling for the final points. I typically did Demons because it came so much earlier.

I'm in a very different direction from that.
Flames/Icy/Crimson/Shield/Suns then Winds as my freebie reset is my regular trash rotation.
I rotate in Vapors and Seal on bigger packs and boss fights.
Bolts of Balth are my filler, once I get enough sustain I'll change them out for Fangs and some Astral Clones. Also add in Demons once I get the sustain.
Use the Taunt images and Astral as required for defense and regen, and the Eye on CD.

For all the Dr Strange stuff - this helps for more hotkeys and it's made every other char easier by having movement skills on the 2nd hotbar. And for spirit, if you don't have a liz/zola laying around thne Strange actually benefit greatly from the Mephisto node in Arcane Attunement. With rank 5 it's incredibly noticeable, and at rank 8-10 the only way I can run out of spirit is if I teleport all over the place. This is just a cheap way if you don't have spirit return artifacts laying around. Though you'll be stronger if you can grab a 25/2 medkit and liz/zola

I couldn't get into Strange at all, it just felt like playing one those arcade games where you use a hammer to hit the things that pop up. Just trying to keep every ability on CD while spamming fangs.

I chugged like a dozen boost potions and forced my way to cap with Wolverine.
I am either doing something INCREDIBLY wrong with Wolverine, or that Hero is a pile of shit. No matter which build I tried, it just felt like shit and went like 4 times as slow as anyone else.
X-23, she was great, adorable little blender of murder. Wolverine, just an absolute slog.

No, that's pretty much been the consensus I've seen on Wolverine. He's awful and X-23 does everything better.
Not feeling it with Kitty. I had Warmachine, Doom, Vision and Soldier up to cap inside of a day. I haven't even felt like logging in to play Kitty so she's languishing at 41 right now. I think it's the lack of a good AOE in any of the builds I've found.
Sure, she punches individual shit down quick but if I get a pack or two I'm taking far more time to kill a bunch of whites than a single yellow or pair of blues. That starts to wear on you.

So Wolverine can do well at 60 with solid gear, but that's primarily single target. His lack of AoE makes leveling him suck more than quite a few other heroes
For Kitty, I didn't think it was that bad as long as you're using some combo of Watch Your Step, Spitballs (which sucks at 60 but the AoE is nice for leveling), and/or Phasing Samurai. I actually liked her more for LQs since her dash is a teleport she can reach the goal pretty quick with terminal LQs and do well enough to clear the mm/icp LQs. It's slower compared to someone like Surfer or Wanda that can just clear screens at will, but still faster than almost entirely single target chars like Wolvie and Colossus.

Shitty AoE usually makes for a bad leveling experience, as well as an expensive/shitty dash power and spirit issues. Wolverine is pretty shitty at max level also, specially since there is a much better character with nearly the same gimmick.

Yeah, that's really what it is. Most of the builds I've tried have been from people focusing on one tree or another. I''m going to give what Segoris mentioned a shot and dump more into spitballs. Spitballs and Watch Your Step were nice individually but lack a good synergy. I skipped Samurai because all of her blade powers seem to be melee-range, even if labeled "AOE." We'll see what happens if I give it a shot, maybe I'll find the fun. I actually liked her more for LQs since her dash is a teleport she can reach the goal pretty quick with terminal LQs and do well enough to clear the mm/icp LQs.
Yeah, movement is pretty great on her, actually. I switched to Over Here instead of the sprint because it restores spirit rather than using it and is also a teleport. Very nice.

One good thing about Gazillion is that they've REALLY gotten better at making their own game as time goes on, but since they blew their wad on all the popular characters early on you end up with situations like x-23 vs wolverine and War machine vs Iron Man. There is nothing specifically wrong with Iron Man, War machine is just better in every way though. Unless they are willing to continue doing endless cycles of updates to old characters we are going to end up with the D list cast of AP4 being far superior to their biggest names.

All New All Different Scarlet Witch and X-23 Wolverine. I'll be picking up JF Thor at some point but I think I'll be playing the hell out of Spider-Gwen for a while.

They are committed to constantly updating old heroes, it just takes a long fucking time even at their pace because there's literally like 50 of the fuckers now.

I sometimes think I'm the only one that prefers Wolverine to X-23. Though that's not saying much. I haven't touched Wolverine really since he hit 60 and I just avoid 23 because I think she's shit.

Even though I like X-23 just fine, I'm with IW in this in liking Wolv more and I also think Wolv gets more shit than he deserves. He needs a few QoL changes (a couple of powers merged, maybe an execute, and more Life on Hit) and some way to have better AoE (since that is both his and X-23's main weakness) but he's not as bad off as some make him seem.

What really annoyed me about him was how SQUISHY he used to be. They changed his skeleton and healing and he was better, but he's still not the immortal motherfucker you expect him to be...
My favourite is still probably Cap. Probably....

I don't find AE to be an issue on X-23, not the way I find it on Wolverine.
If you owned Ms. Marvel before the patch, use the code DANVERS for your free Captain Marvel costume.

There's a bit of Theron going on, but if you're looking for it you can also see Emily Blunt in there too. I guess whichever of the Gaz artists is on Carol was looking to the fan-casts for inspiration.
