Yeah, the Limbo event continued through Saturday last week (at least bosses were spawning and boxes were dropping) and overlapped Omega for some reason, so that seems consistent.

I punched Tasky in IC Patrol last night. Well, I shot arrows at him. He dropped his arti. Seemed fair.

A couple of weeks ago, before the drop-rate buff, Kurse gave me a GotK in regular Midtown. First time I've seen one in the wild since I started playing. Needs a reroll, but at least I have one. Also, hahaha fuck you CMM.

I have managed to get two Gems and two Hands to drop. Both have come in Midtown.

Blob's will be shit, the rest will be very good in builds that can utilize them and/or in groups where you know those effects will be reliably applied.

I like the THEORY of it, as I already build pretty tanky... but does this mean taunting will actually fucking WORK, or will it be a useless effect that nullifies itself on the CC table like every other player taunt in game.

That's the only dud on the list, i see no use for it really.  There are far better options if you want to gear up tanky like Spider clone Serum, hyde's formula, iron legion armor sheath, the mystic mayhem arties, hulkbuster psychic package if you have both ranged/melee options. Kingpin's jacket are basically free and just as good.

Mole Man's a great summoner artifact, though the ranges on the summon stats are distressingly large.

The bodysuit is good for the visual effect if you want to stand out one the field.

Problem I've had with size-increase visuals is a lot of people run them. I started to add different effects and found that worked better, IF I can see at all from all the visual spam.

You can stack various Size Increase effects (or you could, maybe that's gone now). It was possible to get REALLY fucking big.

My Ms. Marvel has one on her and it just wasn't enough. I might see if I can find a few more to see how big she gets.

Speaking of: I got (2) Capt. Marvel SHIELD costumes because I bought some of the new cards. I had 800g lying about and figured, "Meh, may as well."  I'd be happier if I'd gotten any of the other costumes, I dislike the SHIELD costume's hair. Ah well.

For the new artis (coming tomorrow on 9/16/15) Pyros was nerfed to 1-2 energy (down from 2-3) and maxes at 444 dmg vs burning (down from 877). So at max rolls it's a total reduction of ~493 dmg and basically a 50% nerf. No longer an instant-bis, but the attack speed and max of 764 dmg will keep it very useable for energy users vs burning dmg but most likely no longer even a top 5-6 option

Blob's was changed from +durablity to a max of +1k hp. Proc was changed from +taunt to chance to negate dmg. At max rolls (for str users) you'd be looking at 782 dmg, 1k hp, and 3% chance to negate dmg. So it's pretty solid, but again it's not going to be a top 5-6 artifact for almost anyone. It's only about 180 more dmg but 700 less hp than an ACCC for physical users (some dmg negation proc but it's small enough I'm not counting that).

Limbo event is terrible and proves just how terrible most players/ Characters are. Failed 6 times on Dr. Strange so far because there weren't enough OP characters in and/ or the ones that were focused on killing adds rather than the boss. 

The Scarlet Witch and Dr. Doom clears I did were oneshots that had 1 other Witch/ Doom besides myself in there. No other runs have had either char and all failed.

The problem is that the 3 skill points make it a "must do" for every character, instead of something you farm on your best guy.  This is the second time the event runs, so by this point people are running it on their unplayed alts.  If you get at least 2 people who are there on a good character it's really fairly easy, but that becomes less and less the case the week goes on.

This is a big part of why I stopped playing (or at least of my rationalization for it; burnout also played a part). It was obvious the devs didn't care in the least about balance, and I could deal with that as long as things kept getting updated, but then the Omega system came out and made it literally impossible for content to ever be well-balanced again. Even in a perfect world where every hero has the exact same capabilities, content has to be all over the place to accommodate everyone, and I can't get an idea for how my hero is doing because everyone setting the standards has five times as many poopsock points as me. I'm just not secure enough in my epeen size to deal with that sort of uncertainty.

Danger Room sounds sweet enough that I'll come back for it though.

I think that's why I fell into Diablo again recently. They solved the Omega problem of their Paragon system with the Torment levels. You get to do all the same content, but at a level you're comfortable with and capable of handling. Marvel has only one setting for all the new content and that fucks things. Especially if you enjoy playing a less-optimal character like Deadpool or Invisible Woman.

I still like Marvel Heroes but I find I only enjoy the leveling-up parts and trying new heroes (and hate rerolling).

They could just adopt something like the COH difficulty system. Set enemy group size to scale as if the player was in a group of 1 to 8 players, set mob levels -2 to +2, adjust rewards accordingly, done.

Omega points make a HUGE difference. Even at sub 2000 points I can tell, because there's a very large boost in power when I hit 30 and suddenly have access to key nodes. Go in tonight and turn off all your hero synergies and reset omegas, then try to run cosmic Midtown or Limbo. It's still possible, but the margin for error is smaller and skill level required is higher now.

Someone in my guild did the math and 7500 omega points, if you spend them right, is about the equivalent of 5000 damage rating.  The first couple thousand are worth significantly more on average though because of the severe diminishing returns on the nodes. I hope Danger Room addresses some of the issues, from what i hear it is like PoE maps and Diablo rifts, also it's been ready for a while and they are holding it up for the 2016 rebrand.

You can just solo Limbo for the quest thing. They made it easier this go around.
