If you ignore the 'dont OOC in general chat, thats not RP' arguments that go on regularly I still find generally rp servers to have better populations but I'm not that fussed.  I tried to find out what the actually rulesets for each server type was and just got some vague -  these servers will have extra rules.  I couldn't find anywhere that actually states the pvp servers are full FFA.

One question that i haven't seen answered, or asked really. Are the pre-order mounts per account, or per toon?

I don't really know which response to use to answer that clearly, but you get your mount for every toon you level to the appropriate level (40?), across the whole account. Account-wide. Should I have said that to begin with?

I probably wouldn't have minded a PvP server so much if I hadn't played the OB or read the forums.  I had people on three separate occasions threaten me for almost very nearly no reason in beta.  Of course, I said nasty vile things about the size of their wee wees and mocked them for running around in man knickers and frocks afterwards.  As fun as that was, I don't REALLY want to play with them.  And "they" seem to be everywhere in AoC.  It seems worse than SB or WoW.  Hopefully, they don't want to be called carebears so they'll leave the PvE servers to people who don't give a toss.

I don't want to bother, though.  Maybe it would be better in the winter when the weather annoys me.  I'm looking more forward to WAR PvP than I am AoC PvP, though I enjoyed much of the OB.  ALSO - I seem to be much too casual for FFA PvP at the moment.  It would take too long to get anywhere.  I want to siege, but I don't want the hassle of getting there.

Roger that, that's why I PvP in EVE. (No time commitments to make sure you are Uber Level 120312 like everyone else).

But if leveling is really fast in AoC, then that may not be as big of an issue.. we'll see!

they don't stay dead unless you drive to their house.  muting is permanent, and legal.

I'm playing on Omm with some guildies it looks like.  I had a friend warn me away from the Set and Dagoth servers, saying they were looking like the cesspool servers.

Their official forums have been losing functionality all day and are now appearing white and without a style sheet.  Me thinks they are blowing the forums away and will start tomorrow from scratch.

Patch seems to be up as early access begins in under an hour (according to midnight GMT). Anyway, 320 MB thus far worth of updates, still going.

I have no clue when early access starts.

BTW, can people from the UK, Norway, and other full blood/gore/nipples allowed content viewers connect to US servers?  Or did they stick to the regional purchase thing (you play it where you bought it)?  Did they ever finalize who could play what version?

Zug is fine with me.  Who cares?  It's probably even the unofficial Swiss server and sure to be quiet.  Especially after 10 PM, Swiss time.  God, you can't even pee standing up over there past 10 PM.  Not that I ever tried, just sayin'....

Some DAOC guilds have decided on Zug.  Ravenous is going to Dagoth.  Prx and TAO are going to Doomslyer.  I can't remember anything else.  I might be tired.

Just so you know:

I only played enough in beta to decide whether or not to get the game. I don't know any of the intricacies or have any of the important bullshit memorized. In other words, teamspeak will be interesting. I prefer experiencing MMOGs from the beginning with no prior knowledge. Doing so tends to keep me subbed to the game much longer. Anyway, yea, just wanted to let you all know. I'm all ready for the clusterfuck tomorrow though.
