Eh, I can believe he was 'religious' and became deconverted since there are people around who believe in God because it's the default and they really don't think about it at all. They get to their teenage years and actually stop and start to think about this stuff and basically realise they never really had any faith they just hadn't bothered to question religion before. Some people might mistake that for losing faith but I think that if the arguments presented here destroy your belief in God you probably didn't have faith, just a total lack of thought on the matter.

Bingo. Thank god I wasn't forced to post this in response.

And now for a tasteful and important video of a pigeon riding the subway.

That's funny because a pigeon got trapped on a subway I took just last week, in the same city as that one even.  Ours was freaking out and flying from end to end though.  A small posse was formed and it got herded out at a station that was thankfully outdoors.  When the pigeon flew away the whole subway care burst out in applause, it was a neat moment.

I was already streaming audio from the browser to my speakers when I clicked that, so I listened to it mixed with some instrumental William Orbit music. Worked pretty well.

Apparently.  I didn't manage to catch it, but from the various Youtubes and the BBC Iplayer, it strikes a chord.

His blog is also well worthwhile.  Check out page 2 - the Taxi driver story.
