That one is particularly egregious because it looks miserable and cold. At least with Dany, she's somewhere you'd want to be in as few clothes as possible and taking a bath every five minutes.

The Second Sons guy can bathe anytime he'd like though. He definitely needs to keep cool and wear as little as possible and it would make a great great opportunity for some equality of nudity.

If you can read this, you're on a board populated by misogynist assholes.

Just wanted to say Good Job, Sam! Run off into the woods leaving behind the only protection you have against the white walkers. The making of The Slayer was supposed to be your defining moment. You had one job.

^^^^

I THINK he has more than one of them.

Still a bad move.  He won't go back, though.  I always want people in movies and TV to close doors behind them BUT THEY NEVER DO and this is in the same category.

Yeah, but there was little to no reason for that scene to be in the bath.  Really.

The term everyone is groping around for is "sexposition".

They have a name that's been coined primarily because of GOT: 'Sexposition'

Exposition alone means your audience's attention wanders.  Add-in sex and they pay rapt attention to the plot details.  It's a weird human behaviour.

I thought Dany stepped out of the bath because she knew he desired her and she wanted to 1.  Show she wasn't some bashful girl and B.  Ensnare him further with her sexual wiles.

She's had Mormont eating out of the palm of her hand for two years hoping for a nip slip.  She figures to do it again.

I think it's more (1) than (2).  Dany will go to great lengths to demonstrate that she's not scared of anybody.

Yeah, I know, the illiterate thread.  But just saying the book made out her reasons to be mainly 2, since she caught on to how much he liked her and hoped to keep him tagging along loyaly.

So there was reason, just to ease all of the illiterates minds a bit.   awesome, for real

Holy. Shit.  Even knowing what was coming... they... Words cannot express.

Totally changed what some theories had.  Amazing episode, total 10.

I actually regret reading the books.  This is better.

Care to elaborate, in the other thread? Didn't get to see the episode and might not until next Sunday.

As I mentioned in the other thread, at this point that's about the only way he could end the series in a way that would make me feel content.

I've read the books, my wife hasn't, I knew what was coming, and yes they really fucking nailed it. My wife was literally crying at the end of the episode.  The writers/directors/producers have really done a fantastic job with this show.

Just watched episode 9. Ugh.

Due to the offering-to-the-king-of-light-scene I knew Rob Stark, that Grejoy guy and Goffrey were 'marked', but the actual execution of it. Ugh. Brutal beyond expectation.

I, too, wonder where Martin is going to take the main story-thrust from, now that the Starks are "gone". Kalesi vs the Lannisters? Wildlings vs everyone? Some 'haha fooled you, he isn't really dead!' rabbit?

Edit: Also, anyone wonder if Martin read Herbert? Promotion and subsequent relocation far from safe family home leading to near execution of same. Makes me wonder what else he stole...hmmmmm....

From here on out it's just John Snow fucking a series of ever-hotter redheads until the walkers eat everyone and DAneyerys has to flame the kingdom with her dragons.

Who then eat her.

the end.

I haven't read past book 3, but I think it's pretty clear that Jon Snow and Dany will marry and ride dragons into the "last battle" with the Necromancer from the north who is animating all those corpses.

As long as it goes out with a bang and not some sort of 'artistically' ambiguous ending ala the Sopranos. I say some sort of FFA between those cold beasties, the dragon lady, baratheons, lannisters and whatever's left of the Starks. Blow the entire budget of hbo for a decade.   Which at this pace will happen in about 5 years, if then.
