This is now the Game of Thrones thread for people who don't want to mingle with those filthy book-readers and/or book-readers who can keep their filthy knowledge appropriately compartmentalized.  Figure out amongst yourselves what the statute of limitation is on show spoilers, but nothing which could only be known by reading the books is permitted here, even within spoiler tags.  Everyone happy with that?

Yay! Although I think it is going to be very lonely in here.

Liked the episode a lot and the HBO CEO of Tits and Asses was on the job.

Well, I appreciate this even though I have basically rid myself of any desire to discuss GoT on F13.  So, there's Gwendoline Christie's ass.

Pretty sure that was a body double based on how it was shot.

I am thoroughly enjoying the show, especially all the little touches that really bring the world alive onscreen. There's been some brilliant foreshadowing so far in certain points (yeah I'm a filthy book reader  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?). Every time an episode ends I want it to have continued another hour.

Sansa's story has not progressed for five episodes.  Sure there's been threat of marriages but she's still staring out at the sea.  Otherwise, shit is blowing up everywhere and I'm loving it.

I hope Brienne and Jamie hook up, what a cool, weird relationship.  If they made a TV show with just the Lannisters in a room sneering at each other I'd buy the deluxe Blu-Ray version and write erotic fan fiction.

As for this thread I say spoil away right after the show airs.

Tywin writing letters while verbally eviscerating his children would be a great show.

Good.  Spoil away.  My sister is very into this show so I end up watching it at dinner time or whatever.  I've only seen the last three or four episodes so, although I enjoy it, it doesn't really make much sense to me.  Like, where is that pretty blonde lady taking all those men?

She's building an army to go back and beat down everyone else we've been following around on the show.  She wants to take back the kingdom. Her dad was king two kings ago. That's the guy Jamie one hand killed to save all those people, if you believe him.

That help?

I had to go look this up because I thought Gregor Clegane had died way back in S1.  Wiki says otherwise.

Episode was a setup episode for shit that's going to happen later. I enjoyed it, but it's kind of one of those necessary evils episode. Make a non-actiony droopy episode so that when the shit hits, you know why it hit.

Very enjoyable.  The scene between Tywin and the Queen of Thorns was really good, a clash of the Titans.  Once again Sansa is looking at ships, but from a different perspective this time lol.

Good to see Tyrion and Cersei actually getting along, at least a little bit.  And Jamie and Brienne, with Jamie careful not to overplay his hand. *snerk*

Anytime Varys and Baelish argue is a good time.  Could Baelish be any more obvious about his desire to be king?  I bet he sneaks in at night, sits on the Throne and whacks it.

I felt they missed a really good scene between Joffrey and Ros.

If Twyin lasts through this season I'll eat my hat.

Worst episode of the year by a mile (to be fair, the others have been really good).  The climbing-the-wall scenes were long, tedious, and tension-free.  I think they went to the "gays love fancy clothes!.  No, really, he's a homosexual and is into fashion, get it?.  Seriously brah, he likes having sex with other men, and also likes the frou frou" comedy well four times. Facepalm

Reinforcing Joffrey-as-psychopath is OK, but making Littlefinger into a comic-book villain seems a little much.  And they killed off the most attractive woman in the show  sad

The Old Man Lanister v Lady Tyrell showdown was entertaining.  Tyrion and Cersei's chat was probably the highlight of the episode.

What the shit? you want MORE of that scene?

Ros was a minor, but re-occurring character seen since the very first episode.  They didn't show them catch her, didn't show Joffrey and a slow buildup to what we knew was going to happen.  Instead we got LOL SAM CAN'T START A FIRE AMIRITE?

It's not about torture porn you wanker, it's about drama.

Sometimes this show misses the really good conversations.  I mean, who else wanted to see Tryion tell Sansa they were to be wed in front of Shae?  Nope, we got Sansa and Loras comparing embroidery tips.  Useless scene because they aren't getting married!

IIRC, the joke was made in at least two other scenes in addition to the Loras-Sansa scene.  Did not get funnier with repetition.
