Why oh why did I just click on Bruce's photo gallery? Once it started, I couldn't look away  ACK!

(and I'd like to see WUA back as well, though I'm a pretty forgiving guy)

The whole living in Kentucky and business owner thing should have been the giveaway.

And the inability to understand why he might be percieved to be harrassing someone.

Wow. This is the only forum I know that sacrifices posters as Christmas celebration.  ACK!

Is it still ok to dislike Origin though?

Not really a sacrifice, more like a long time coming for both of them. Just use their posts as a primer for what not to do why so serious?

Google tells me he's trolling reddit these days.   If you haven't been initiated to Bruce, scanning his previous week's posts gives you a really good idea of what kind of a creature he is.   (wincest.. really?)

SirBruce was around before I found F13, but I did see his name pop up on reddit a while back and wondered if it was him. The guy was even SirBrucing all of his posts. Kinda funny. But not really. Like seeing Mr. Mxyzptlk show up in Hellblazer.

edit: Or, "gone" before I found F13, anyways. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas.

Whippersnapers.

When I started posting, Boog was a mod at Waterthread.  I never minded Bruce that much.  He really wasn't more annoying than plenty of other posters towards the end, right up until he would get trolled into a glorious overreaction.  Luckily, the old Waterthread boards would blow up every six months and everyone would get a clean slate.

I have more of an issue with Mediocre/Geldon who literally will shit up anything into their own private blog.

And WUA...come on people, that guy is hilarious.  He might be nasty as all fuck and a giant troll, but jesus christ he was funny.  And a talented writer.

I agree, I found WUA funny as hell and appreciated his work in the radicalthon section. OTOH, Sand seemed a bit of a conceited prick at times, but nothing too obvnoxious. I wasn't really here much before when he was Broughden though so I don't know that story

There's a few lines you can't cross here.  Very few. I don't care if you're one of the beloved members that has been here from the very start.  You cross it, you're gone.

He was also a gigantic troll.  He made more contributions than sinij, for sure, but a troll still.  If you have the impression that perhaps the entire mod staff sees you as a troll, you're probably a bad day away from going away forever.

edit: Of course, I don't make the call on bans.  There's two people that can do that.  One of them will take more shit than the other before killing you dead.

I think the last time I spoke to schild before the ban I mentioned that there was a 70% chance Sand is Broughden.   awesome, for real   I thought this for a long time, but the whole ex-NY cop to Kentucky business man with adult diapers thing kept some doubt alive in my head.

Before he disappeared as Broughden, he'd made a big deal out of mentioning  he was opening an Outfitter's shop in Louisville and his political connections there.  Maybe being more local to that city then the rest of you I was the only one whose mind that stuck in, but that's why I always figured it was him, despite the "no it's not" denials.  /shrug

The tone of his politics posts in recent times really were textbook broughden, so much so that I stopped even reading anything that had his stupid avatar on them.

So I guess my planned lobbying effort to unban windupathiest just so that he had someone to play with is now moot?
He wasn't banned, he rage quite the forum (though I guess the stuff he said leaving probably also got him a ban).  Then again, he already did that once before!
No he was banned by me awesome, for real

Initially it was a temp ban for fucking up the Battleship thread and then it was a perma-ban when he decided to nuke the bridges.

I remember that! God only knows what I was doing reading the Battleship thread, but anyway.

There've been a number of times recently, when I've been reading the ToR thread, or the WoW forum, and wondering why WUA wasn't chiming in anywhere. Now I know o.O

Yeah, this. I don't think I ever doubted he was Broughden from the minute I first got the inclination it was him. He was at times less douchey, but true douche always wins out over self-control.

I seem to recall making a Sir Bruce gimmick account on some forum before him, and then SirBrucing his posts.  I don't think it was this site though.

On a side note Sir Bruce was around prior to this site.

This is the longest running site by a long long way now, I think the only forum I have ever been banned from was the Dawn forums, though I'm sure I've sailed real close to the edge a couple of times here.  We used to have new forums every few months so you'd keep seeing old faces reappear.

It's a pity Lum took his new forums down as the whole vibe of too many "all star players" made for awkward conversations.

I miss WUA too.

WUA on temp ban responses., then his own response to one.

I liked Sinij when he was pointing out things that were actually bad about the things he complained about. Every board needs the dark side guy who focuses on the negative.

I didn't like Sinij when he would start making up things to complain about when the game wasn't really worth complaining about.

I had to go up to my "archives" and make very damn sure that I no longer had any MTG cards.  All I found was lots of first-edition Middle Earth: The Wizards, including an unopened starter.  Too bad only ten people play this now.
You have "archives?" The Library of Yegolandria?

Sure.  Sounds better than "the closet where I found a cloth map from UO".

I still have my UO cloth map and pewter pin, too! Mine's in a box in a self-storage warehouse seven time zones away, though.

Man I can't wait to see this on storage wars.

He also went completely off the rails on Skyrim, even though I haven't played the game, and I could tell her was full of shit.

His Skyrim posts surprised me a lot. I suck at games and even I had no trouble at all creating an immortal killing machine.

Dunno, but the last six weeks or so he was taking massive shits on anything and everything people would say.  It is fairly tough to get really under my skin, and he was one of a select few around here doing it.  Guy just liked to bitch about anything, especially if it was Steam related.

Not sure where my pin is, but apparently I have the DAoC box plus an assortment of others that have survived the moves.  Just a couple days ago I dug out the Daggerfall box to show my wife the map of Tamriel.
