Yep. And I had to use the apoth, and copped another juggling injury among the 5-6 he inflicted. You bastards! Don't even have money for my first refill let alone replacement players.

I had to learn this the hard way, but fyi, when they say "oh Dark Elves can play a bashing game when they need to" ... they are full of shit. They can't. Don't manmark people, seriously. It'a a recipe for pain.

I want to do some scrims, but I'm all sucked into F:NV. Setting aside enough time for a BB game is a bit tough, I usually game in smaller chunks. Kind of the same reason I don't play mmo.

Yeah Sky I have the same problem and that's why I play way less Blood Bowl than I'd love to do.
Make a dummy team anyway though, it's funny to have it in the first place, and you can still have a random game every now and then, or not, and it's still cool.

Yeah, I actually got a death on one of his Witch Elves as well, but he saved it with an Apoth.  Bloody game.

I don't think the app for the Glorious Bashtards went through. I'd like to mess with another race, but I need to learn what I'm doing first hah.

I just played my first game against Ruvaldt. 350k buys a lot of inducements. For a starting High Elf team Eldril Sidewinder has to be the best use of 200k I've ever seen. He almost singlehandedly won the game for me.

I've never seen a star player make such a bit impact.  I knew that the second half wouldn't be pretty because I didn't injure enough of his players in the first half, but I didn't expect that damned elf/vampire/demi-god to catch every ball sent his way, score two touchdowns, and cure cancer while running into the endzone.  I think Richard Nixon is still recovering from his hypnotic gaze, damned hippie elf.

Also, William Howard Taft really needs to start pulling his weight on my team or I'm forgetting about minotaurs.  Seriously, I rolled five "both down" or "attacker down" in a row and thus had two turnovers due to that out of shape bovine.

I feel unfulfilled now that my game with Ingmar for the league pre-maturely ended.  Somebody hop on to the feeder league and play me!

I'm glad that my attempts at presidential humor are appreciated.

Also, you could always buy the game just to watch our replays!  Trust me, they're pretty comical without commentary as well.

And Goblins beating Khemri?  I'm watching that one tomorrow, for sure.

Yeah, I don't buy stuff on Impulse (although that is a good name for such a service!), I tend to stick to Steam because I am lazy and like it all in one place. I'm sure it'll go on sale there one of these days too. :P

3-0 Amazons over Ice Cream Emperor's Dark Elves...hopefully an omen for my league match vs IanC!

He stopped me getting a skill for a blitzer, but a catcher got block, so now I have 5 Blodges.

Reading through some past replies does being online and in the league highlight who is currently in game or would I be better off adding the f13 steam group people list to my steam friends and seeing if anyone is on and fancies a game when I get some free time to play?

Steam is the way to go. Mostly, because you don't want to keep staring at your Blood Bowl client to see if any possible player ever comes online. While with Steam, you get a notice when your friends log in, or you can message them even if they are not in the game, which is super helpful.

So yes, mass add the whole BB group as friends. It is definitely the way to go.

I hope they fix these crash issues soon; I just crashed from an injury again during a match with Megrim.  His wizard was so powerful that it broke Blood Bowl.  Sadly, as a result of my crash Chester A. Arthur was villainously assassinated.  So far Rutherford B. Hayes and Chester A. Arthur have met untimely demises, and for those keeping score their terms were only separated by six months.  It's a bad time to be a late-19th century ex-president.

Franklin Pierce, my ball-carrier, continues to thrive and picked up +1 STR after a win rematch with Megrim.   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?
