The Japanese conquered Singapore partially thanks to bikes.  And the Dutch had entire bicycle units in WWII.

For Lantyssa, in her search for an awesomely lonely place to live:

It's abandoned and probably for sale.  It looks like a Russian church or sommat.

PS  It might need airing out.

Was it abandoned due to proximity to Chernobyl?

I don't know.  I couldn't find the exact location, just that it's somewhere in Russia.

I think that's a reasonable assumption.  But how else are you going to live in your very own Russian Orthodox cathedral?  Just don't eat the fish.  Or procreate.  You'll be fine.

A local guy is working on rehabbing an old russian orthodox building into a home. It's pretty awesome, he was on the local tour of homes this year. Actually it was a mansion turned doctor's office turned russian orthodox church turned home.

In the fox's defense, that has probably worked for it in the past. However, no bluff will work on a mama bear with cubs.

Jesus Christ.  ACK!

9 MPG.  Though, I guess if you can afford to dump $85k to $100K on a truck, you can probably afford the fuel.
