I was in my local Walmart and noticed the price.  Then I checked at Walmart.com to make sure it wasn't some local store error.

Now those of you ticked at the former price can pick it up.

Errrm.. it was 40 buck at EBgames. Is this supposed to be comedy or should I get excited over 18 cents?

Sally Strothers gets pretty excited about 18 cents in her infomercials.  Maybe you could learn a thing or two from her.

If I could send Sally 100 WoW gold and feed an Ethiopian for a year, I would.

Unless he's saying the special edition is under $40 now, yeah, this isn't much for news.

Whoops, I thought it was selling at $50 previously?

I would happily pay an extra $10 just to still be able to say I have never, nor will ever, set one foot into a Wal-Mart. A worse hive of scum and villainy has never existed.

I did pay $10 more for that.  It is called, "Overnight Shipping."

They are not that bad if you stop into one outside of Renton.

Does Wal-Mart sponsor Goldshire and the Barren's chat?

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Yeah, $40/2yrs seems pretty reasonable to me.  Especially with an expansion that holds this much content.  I didn't balk on this decision at all.

Rarely is there a company that will actually fill that promise of $40 worth of good in an xpac.  Blizzard meets the expectations, but all it does for the rest is give them an excuse to charge near-full price for their shovelware.  Watch out for EA.

IIRC, it doesn't.

Also, in semi-related news they're finally offering a download of the expansion. Still the same price as retail though.
