Yeah I've taken to killing other hunter's pets, particularly if they send it in on me from max range. So few hunters, even in pvp, seem to be taking Eagle Eye that it's worth it just to watch them try and pull it back before I and the pet kill it. Quite fun.

scare beast on feral druids is great, but NOTHING beats banishing a Tree, since banish totally removes them from combat with NO chance of someone accidently breaking it early :P

Scare Beast seems to break as often as Fear does. Also, it's one of the few CCs that Druids can't get out of, so I at least tend to notice it quickly.
Also, the Alliance Fearing thing... WotF is on a 2 minute cooldown and you can't get out of Death Coil at all. Alliance really should use it a lot more :P. When I was Shadow on my Priest (swapped to Pain Suppression a few weeks back), I'd Fear Undead even in duels, just because I knew the fight was going to last more then 26 seconds and I wanted them to pop WotF early.

Oh, I do use my AOE fear a lot (instacast, since I am deep affliction). But wasting 1.5s (more like 3-5s with someone beating on me) of "standing still" time to a spell that'll be instantly broken is.. not wise. Ditto with seduce, I'd much rather have extra hp from an imp (that's how I get 5.5k) or dispels from a felhunter. With the new diminishing return rules (first fear can last 12s at most, second one 6s, third one 3s) there's really no point in using the single target fear or seduce on anything that's undead. Nor is using my 2 minute cooldown "I WIN" button ('coil) just to spite one of the three undead who broke my howl of terror. Not saving the deathcoil for the inevitable rogue or warrior is pretty much a death sentence, I can't afford to waste it on undead_mage_14786. :P
Anyway, the "new pet" (felguard) is a 41-point talent, a lot of warlocks don't have it. Warlocks who spec that are ... well, I'll just say "not using the class to its full potential". That spec really needs level 70 to work (ie. shadowburn, insta-corruption). If a lock specs 41 demonology, their dots are definitely NOT going to kill you by themselves.
(and yes, I read plenty of horror stories about warlocks with felguards doing 6k in DOT damage while using an AOE stun and bursting 3k damage in 2 seconds. Man, I wish I could be 41/41/41 too. ;) )
Edit: Yeah, banishing tree druids is the best thing ever. Also you're very unlikely to get scare beast off against a good feral druid (if they have a good ping); my guildie I duo-pvp with shifts out to caster at the last split second before the cast finishes, then switches back to bear again. The only time I saw him get feared was in an arena match with him against 2 aq40/naxx-geared hunters (yeah.. I died in about 3 seconds) with both of them using the skill.

Well, Warlocks of most specs kill my Priest most of the time, although Destruction is probably the one I have the easiest time with if I'm not caught off guard.
- Unstable is something I can rarely afford to eat and try to heal through unless I have Pain Suppression up (Shield, PS, dispel, pray).
- Felguards I just can't seem to fear consistently and their Intercept has the worse habit of interrupting my heals.
- If they're spec'd Shadowfury they can burst me down if I don't feel like using my trinket (Shadowfury, Immolate, Conflag makes pretty short work of me), but I can remove an Immolate pretty quick without getting hit by Conflag if I'm paying attention. Usually, I can do decent work with DoTs ande heals, and if I can survive the inital burst I can take them out (almost like a Assassination Rogue or Fire Mage in that respect).
Really, the only 'Locks I have an easy time with are the ones that aren't using 41pt talents as those talents really are what puts them over the edge. It's a similar case with Druids given how powerful Mangle, Force of Nature (Three Tree Smackdown), and Tree Form (ignoring the whole Banish thing :P) are in their respective fields.

Horde are so few in number, and this kind of skill is so rare, that if it becomes and issue, the druid's likely in a team that's kicking the crap out of my team anyway, so I'm not worried. :-D Besides; fear, like ice traps, are incredibly good for just plain pissing people off. Sometimes that's all the edge you need.

I use eagle eye in AB all the time to scout out who is guarding nodes. Quite useful. Too bad that it appears neither track hidden nor Cats Eye goggles works through it. I don't think I've ever managed to spot a stealthed rogue, even when I knew where he was.

I mis-spoke Eagle Eye for the +ranged distance talent, whose name continues to escape me. Yarg.
But yes, the Eagle Eye ability is fantastic. I've been yelled at before for, 'running around like an idiot scouting flags when you should be defending!' :-D

Hawk's Eye. Extends range to 42 yards, I think -- putting us out there with fire mages. Three point talent, first level of the Survival tree.

I'm awaiting the new MTV show "Pimp My Imp".
That was good :) I would say Locks are going to get nerfed - but not before Paladins.

Imp is a bug. Corr and CoA nerfed this patch. Likewise Felguard.
Stop QQing now?
Loooks like you'll have to pick something else to reroll.

while it may be a bug, Shadowfury is now on a 20 second cooldown....wtf is up with that. Meanwhile Dragons Breath STILL shares the Cone of Cooldown, and is STILL on a huge cooldown timer.....

I never found warlocks to be a big deal, though that's because I'm often on defense and with a partner. Stealth in catform, wait for warlock to ride up and go for partner, pounce warlock and shred the crap out of them while their attention is on someone else. Rinse, repeat.

A Warlock is the master of dodging in and out of a fight when you have large groups engaging. I love dropping DoT's on people, dropping them on people who try to flee, using my pet to scare the hell out of some caster, and then using my AoE's when people cluster up.
However, if a melee gets the jump you on then you better have a way to get away. Other than that Warlocks are great for PVP. Now this latest nerf sort of hurts us in PVE, but it doesn't amount to much in PVP.

I'm glad to see pets are rezzing in BG's now. Unfortunately, Blizzard seems to have introduced some bug with flag capping. I'm not sure WHERE the Horde toon was that was capping the flag I was defending, but he didn't show up on my track -- and I'm pretty sure you can't cap stealthed.
I've personally seen Horde capping at 10 yards. I haven't managed to do it myself, although I understand it's possible to cap certain towers through the floor (it's just not necessary as Alliance. The first tower you cap as Alliance is IB, and generally all the Horde are at SH).
I don't think I'm going to bother going back. It's not losing I mind, although I think any joy I had in PvP would pass if I was forced into constant losses in all three BGs -- it's been the recent wave of exploiting and cheating. I don't know if they're new exploits, if I'm just now noticing it, or what -- but I've gotten tired of seeing shining Horde faces outside our gate in WSG -- before the Gate opens. With the long-distance capping in AV, it's just not worth it.

How does that WSG thing happen? I've seen it too.

The tunnel gate to WSG for the Horde isn't a portcullis but instead just some logs stacked up like a fence. With some practice, you can jump from log to log up the fence and eventually fall down on the other side. Then, just run down the tunnel and out you go.

They win 90%+ of their WSG matches. I've seen premades of 10 Horde, facing 4 (that's right, just four of us!) doing it. 2 to 1 odds, a good mix of classes, coordination over vent/TS and actual skills -- and they're exploiting in a BG that they'd win even if they were a pickup.

You know, when you're asking why cheaters are cheating in a game with no rewards, you're heading down a bad road.

They are pissing in their own coffee really. Alliance will get tired of it and stop playing until it is fixed. Horde will find it hard to get any of the matches to start up.
My guild was bitching up a storm last night about it and everyone of them dropped out and won't go back until it is fixed.

That would work, except that are a bit under twice the active 60s on Alliance as there are on Horde... even on the last few BG weekends, I've been getting maybe 3 minute queues at most (as a premade). Normally, I can't even walk to next Battlemaster in Undercity without a queue popping.

It will just take time. I'm assuming Blizz will hotfix it before that happens though. It doesn't matter. BC will be keeping people pretty busy for a day or two. Then it's back to business!
