This reminds me of a story I read in an old Science Fiction and Fantasy magazine from the 60s or 70s. It went something like:
"And now" the Professor said to his daughter, all I must do is pull this lever and the time machine will transport us backwards us tranport will machine time the and lever this pull is do must I all, daugher his to said Professor the "now and."
The real version was a lot more entertaining than that but that was the basic idea.

If there's a better magazine about gadgets/tech out there than Wired!, please fess up. And I don't mean category specific mags (ie: I don't want to get 10 magazines just to read about smartphones, gps systems, etc).
