Took the boy to football camp this morning. Hilarious. Also, I left my DS at home.
Doesn't your DS technically belong at home? You don't have to answer that. I work in an "open office" environment that wouldn't allow me to do such crazy things as play games during work hours, so I'm a little jealous. Happily, though, it doesn't prevent me from browsing F13 all the live long day. My oldest is in golf camp of all things, and both the buggers are doing swimming lessons - though at different times of the day. My wife, who was happy at the idea of schlepping them off to their various activities in order to acquire more peace and quiet for herself is now lamenting how much work it is to haul them around all day long to all of this stuff. And this is only Week 1 of summer. Hah! |

It's even worse than you think: I actually skipped out of work this morning and was hanging out at the field when I typed that. Didn't want to drive all the way home, where my work computer is tethered, just to drive back after a conference call. Made the call in my car and stood around looking like a dufus the rest of the time. When you say football camp, do you mean real football or American football?

So I stopped at Rally's after work because I didn't feel like cooking and had a burger craving. As I pull through the drive through this very hot, tight & toned blonde in short shorts and a tight tank walks out of the building and through the parking lot. I'm thinking "wow, nice" as I watch her go by and then "Huh, wonder where Bubba is" as I see her walk over to a parked Semi and climb aboard. There was no Bubba. She started it up and pulled off, taking with her part of my preconceptions about what truckers look like.

I take a laptop in to avoid there being a record through the proxy server of what I browse. I don't think there is anything in there to prevent me browsing within reason, but best not to find out. When i started as a contractor (they tempted me to stay with the subtle tool of bribery) clauses which explicitly stated that I was not allowed to use the workplace for the manufacture or sale of either drugs or firearms. They look totally tacked on at the end by the agency, as if this had happened and they'd thought "hell, we better stick clauses in so we can actually fire Meth Guy next time." Now I'm permie those clauses don't exist so my amphetamine lab is all above board. |

How are you using a laptop to circumvent the proxy? The magic of 3G mobile internet connections. Edit: though when I don't have that handy I also use logmein to effectively tunnel to my own proxy at home. |
