I'd say even with OC spray, worse that breaking and resetting bones by far.

It's just a bit of drool, not exposed avian intestine.  Kittys just posing for the after-hunt shot and thinking of how delicious the bird will be after its gamed-up a bit.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Cat's don't care for putrid meat like dogs do and they can get sick over it.  Also, I think thats a bit of membrane, not drool.  I like to think it's a membrane and not drool, anyway.

Hey that cat looks like Bartolomeus. Except bigger. Big Bad Bart is almost 9 weeks old!

Be ready for what you'll find when you open walls. My house is not insulated. Who the fuck doesn't insulate a house at SOME POINT since 1930?? Since it's a 3/4" furring over concrete block, it ain't gonna get much even now. Also, I'm about to learn how to drywall. What the hell was I thinking. I just got done doing some plumbing. This is how I'm spending vacation.

They probably didn't insulate BECAUSE it's 3/4" furring over block.  They'd have been lucky to get any batt insulation in there and have it be of any use.  Foam is so recent the previous owners probably didn't think of it, or couldn't afford it. "Thermax" for the win.

Also, check the size of your furring if you have to replace any.  Since your house was built in the 30's it'll be an actual 3/4" strip where with modern wood that's the "nominal" size.  The actual strips will be about 1/2".  Had a friend replace a few 2x's in his wall without realizing this and  it's got a very visible wave to it now.

My house was built in 1922, all plaster and lath, no insulation except where I've added it. I'm considering redoing the siding when I have the roof done this summer, at least add insulation sheeting and a tyvek wrap.

I think the single glazing fucking old windows are more of a heating problem the empty walls though.

Beware the Tyvek.  If you don't do it right, you wind-up with water trapped INSIDE your walls rather than out. (This drove one local builder out of business.) Consult with some local contractors or your local Home Builder's Association (HBA) first.  (Also there's lots of other brands that work just as well, don't pay premiums for brand names, see what you can get then pick from that selection.  Again, consult the HBA for their recommendation.)

Personally I'd worry about Air Infiltration, then Windows, then Attic Insulation then walls. Unless you're exposed to high winds often, then walls and attic are about the same priority.  Air's an insulator, so yeah, direct warm-to-cool contact at the windows will lose you more energy than an empty cavity wall.
