Ok, that post was awesome.

I am slowly getting back to normal; it is amazing how much easier things are now that my boy is born and stuff.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

Thank God you're back to your abnormal normal self.  I miss you when you're not mental.  Just in time for Festivus, too.  WHERE IS OUR FESTIVUS THREAD???  I plan to abuse the hell out of it this year!

Is that one of those bald kitties?  Gordon wouldn't let me get the one up for adoption here.  I think he found it a wee bit scary.  I checked, though, and it DID get adopted in spite of having all sorts of medical problems and being 11 years old.  I have always wanted a bald pussy, myself, but I'm much too lazy to give it the proper attention it requires.

Greatest quote ever.  I am tempted to sig this, but the Geldon one is marginally better.  But not by much.

Installing GCC 4.2.2 on AIX is infuriating.  Or, attempting to install, I should say.

Almost weird coincidence that I'm actually picking up an adopted cat today.  Granted, this one isn't bald.

I used to shave the sides of my head and loved the way it felt when it was growing out.  Of course, you can get away with touching your head in public.  I'm not sure what would happen if I walked around town with my hand up my skirt.  I'd probably get arrested.

I have no self control.  If I have growth nubbies, I'm gonna have to rub them regardless of where I am or where they are.  I always made sure I had enough hair to hide my strange hair from my grandmother and ended up avoiding her because I knew I give it away in pretty short order.

Actually, it would only be for the nubbies... shaved pussy looks stupid.  Okay... I'm done talking vagina.  Change the subject, please.

One of my coworkers' boyfriend got some and said it just tastes like liquid smoke salt. :(

Correction: the boyfriend loves it for the sole reason that it bacon-flavored, but the coworker gave me the 411.

My wife has done this for quite a while.  This is because she has lots of hair.  From about mid-ear level all around the back of her head.  She is going to have her hair permanently straightened, but I think she's going to keep shaving it anyway.  I think.

The movie? Or are you continuing the conversation somehow?

If the movie, then yeah I agree. RDJ is probably my favorite actor around (that's living), but who hasn't quite had that many great movies. He needs more like that.

The Movie.  Just finished watchin it (wife out, wee gurl fast asleep, bless her.)

About to watch V for Vendetta and drink the rest of the alchohol.  (You can't tell, but I've had a lot thus far).

I expect it to be shite, but I'll play the 'Mr Anderson' Drinking game.

To Repeat :  KKBB - Awesome movie in almost every way.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was a breath of fresh, noir-scented air. We need more good noir movies.

V for Vendetta... it's decent. A bit too much Wachowski, but not too far of a departure from the book.

I don't know. There's quite a few new-ish things that qualify as Noir. Hell, even V for Vendetta is Noir-ish. Really, I think it might be the most dominant writing style around.

Something more along the lines of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is the Ice Harvest. A bit more depressing than KKBB though. Even more depressing than that is Machinist. And even more depressing than that is the Man Who Wasn't There.

Fucking GREAT movie is the Woman Chaser -- I believe it's Patrick Warburton's only lead role.

Obvious choices are the Black Dahlia, Sin City, LA Confidential, and Hollywoodland.

The Big Lebowski...Maybe.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was largely self-aware and for every rule of noir film they followed they broke another. One could easily call it the anti-noir.

Well, there was much crime, and everything he did was largely motivated by pussy. And someone got a body part cut off. I'd call it Noir.  awesome, for real

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was 10x more noir than Kiss Kiss would ever be.

That's a terrible example though.

Because Ninja Turtles WAS noir.

Seriously though, it's the anti-noir.

The new one? Really? Hmm, I might have to see it now.

Anyways, I don't know what anti-noir is. Because it's self aware? Huh? All neo-noir films are self aware. And if you want to talk about "for every rule that was followed, another was broken", then the Big Lebowski takes the cake. It somehow manages to be both a pure noir film and a pure musical comedy about bowling. Hehe

No, the original TMNT.

And no, not every noir film is self-aware. Not like Bang Bang, which breaks the fourth wall as part of the narrative.

And Big Lebowski? I lolled. Comeon. Now you're just reaching.
