Those guys are hardcore. Where are the parts where they get hit by people randomly changing lanes and shit? With no helmets...lol

And people wonder why the traffic is such ass in NYC. If people just go gunning through every damn red light after a while you have to treat even green lights as redlights and traffic comes to a halt.

Have we done powerisers yet? I was reminded of them, because the chap who posted the link to me also posted the bike nutters some time back.

Oh yeah.  7 minutes of bike messengers doing the same stuff I see everytime I walk from the train station to the office in downtown Chicago.  At least the majority of messengers around here have taken to wearing helmets.  Gotta give them sanity points for that much at least.

That kid has to either be dead or a paraplegic by now.

I remember some documentary about a bunch of bike couriers that called themselves the xmen and got around New York by grabbing onto the bumpers of other cars/trucks zooming along the bridges.

The local Starbucks near my work seems to be a courier hang out and I'm sure that about 60% of them are literally insane, it's as though their psychiatrists tell them to try being a bike courier when they can't hold down any other job.  I'm talking screaming at the top of their lungs about "the beeping noise" insane (the beeps were from his own damn walkie-talkie).

That was funny. Odd, in a good way that makes people uncomfortable. People who need to be uncomfortable more often.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

With Nintendo's latest advertising campaigns I wouldn't be surprised if that became one of them. Though I know it's too over the edge for them, but come one. DS was "Touching is good" and NSMB was "Bigger is better." They have to keep it up with the Wii advertising.

The ultimate Useless Videos link, thanks to Pika at Corp

1500 80s Music Videos

Watching tips for you Youngins.

1) Avoid most of the Punk/ Metal stuff if you want actual vids.  In the 80s real bands were too hardcore (and poor) for that shit, y0.  Anything on there is usually a shakycam vid from a club or concert.

2) When you think it's too cheesy to go on, find the REO Speedwagon or Air Supply videos.  Proceed to see how much worse it is.

Good vids:  Men Without Hats - "The Safety Dance"; Genesis - "Land of Confusion" (count the dead celebs!); Sam Kennison  - "Wild Thing" (lotta cameos); Talking Heads - "And She Was"; Robert Palmer - "Simply Irresistable"; Peter Gabriel - "Sledgehammer"

The past cannot be changed. The future is yet within your power.

Other than Sledgehammer, which is phenomenal, these are better vids:

The Art Of Noise - Close To The Edit.
Godley and Creme - Cry.
A-ha - Take On Me.
Killing Joke - Love Like Blood.
Front 242 - Headhunter.

But in the end, given that its just a bunch of links (many broken, eg Herbie Hancock) to YouTube, I was unimpressed after a while.

They missed a couple of simply fantastic 80s videos. You'll have to click them to find out what they are.

I love New Order.  Of course, a bunch of wavers did, too.  Astroworld used to have a new wave/alternative dance night that got air play.  One of the DJs got the bright idea to start playing Blue Monday then switch the song as it got past the intro.  Apparently the riot was impressive.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!
