What is becomming of the Internet?

When I first started on the glorious Information Superhighway, there were rules of etiquette that were expected and followed.  The sorts of behavior I see now is just unbelievable.  No one can enter a forum without finding flames.  This goes even for professional and technical forums.  What has happened to the community?  I believe a better question is:  What is happening to our world?  The Internet, after all, is a cross-section of our world, and it shows us what kind of people are alive today.

I do suppose that these wonderfully cynical, base, and unintelligent people have always existed.  The Internet is so easy now that even the stupid can use it, and thus we are seeing a rise in stupidity and ignorance on our once-pure forums and chat mediums.

Anyway, the point of this post is this:  You all seem to be fairly intelligent people.  You all should KNOW that it is uncool to do what you are doing in this thread.  Yes, it was uncool for the OP to spam advertise on these forums, however it is just stupid to respond the way you have, and even stupider to flame the OPs SISTER in the way that you did, when she had nothing to do with it, short of attempting to defend her sister in her livejournal!

Administrators, I would suggest that you delete this thread in its entirety, and then properly moderate your forum to make sure that this information does not continue to be leaked.  If you do not, I will suggest to the OP and especially her sister that they contact their own lawyers, for surely what is currently being done in this forum could be constituted as a crime.

I would remind you GameAmp people that calling us immature is a little silly considering you spam message boards daily with your advertisements and create fake accounts to threaten message boards that you have an issue with. In fact, since thejeni is on staff at GameAmp, perhaps the threat she levelled against us with her fake account can be construed as a threat coming from GameAmp and perhaps our lawyer should be contacting GameAmp directly in regards to this situation. In addition, we may also contact your advertisers and let them know exactly what kind of people are working at a company that runs their advertisements. I'm sure your advertisers would also like to know that they are being associated with a website that markets themselves through spam.

[EDIT] Also, it seems thejeni, DeadPan and intarwebman live in the same vicinity and I'm sure are buddies of one another on their respective LiveJournals. If I took the time to read through the other LiveJournals that are linked with DeadPan's, I'm sure I could figure out who intarwebman is.
