I figured out the thread finally. Posts had been deleted making the thing near unreadable to my brain when I've just woken up.

Googlefighting consists of links to and links from. If we had a frontpage full of hundreds of links everyday linking somewhere else and in turn getting linked to because we posted every piece of unimportant news on the web our googlefight ranking would be rock ass.
