it's not refusal, it's literally "I have closed this window, what was in it is now forgotten"
I know, I figure if I keep passive-aggressively mentioning it at every opportunity I might eventually solve that problem by establishing a reminder in every one of your open windows.

Legend of Grimrock II is -75% and on my wishlist so I guess there's no avoiding it. Yeah, I have been waiting to pull the trigger on Grimrock II for a while now. At 75%, it is a no brainer. Now it can sit safely in my backlog, perhaps to be forgotten for all time.

I've bought it too as planned; explored the initial area a bit and first impression is very positive. Graphical tip: if you have a Nvidia card, force enable FXAA: jaggies go away (MSAA doesn't work).

Picked up the XCOM DLC for $10, and got NBA 2k15 on a flash sale for $15. Been itching to play a basketball game, and that is a pretty nice price point.

Hmm, well it does come recommended by the curator 'Waifu Hunter', so I'm sure it must be a quality title.

That looks... so much better than it has any right to be. I've heard it's pretty decent. Not, like, $30 decent, but not "just slap some anime babes on our crappy shovelware casual game so the penises will buy it" either. I think it's a port of a Vita game or something.

Picked up Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. It was too cheap to not take a flyer on it. Anyone play it?

Civ III complete for $1.24. Worth it for the nostalgia value alone. I have 1100+ hours in Civ V, I need like like a hole in the head but whatever!

AKIBASTRIP is pretty terrible; the combat system is awkward and clunky because you have to target each piece of clothing (head, torso, pants) individually by mashing the appropriate button. There are no combos, just mash whatever until it will let you tear that piece off, rinse, repeat.

Alien Isolation is a steal at the current price.
And that's the first thing I've bought so far this year. *Nearly* got Valkyria Chronicles too, but having already played it on the PS3 it still felt a bit extravagant, even at 75% off.

Will the Season Pass get me all of the DLC for Alien Isolation at once?
Edit: The Answer is no. But it's cheaper to buy the Season Pass and get the leftover DLC separately.

I've heard the best thing to do is just not buy the season pass and get the two story DLC's alone.

I got the first two Shadowrun games. That's it, so far. I have a pretty big backlog of games so I reckon that by the time I make a dent, some of the other one's I'm interested in will be cheaper in the next sale. I try not to get games that are in early release or buy to beta test because I'm inevitably disappointed and wish I had waited. I'm interested in ARK... for some reason I really want to play this game... and GTA 5 but I'll wait until they slip closer to a tenner. I'm SO in the mood for a jrpg but I don't know which one to get. Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be on sale or on Steam. It can also be for the 360.

Neither Steam nor 360 are good platforms for JRPGs. If you haven't played Tales of Vesperia or Lost Odyssey, they're probably the 2 best for 360. Steam has some nice indie stuff like the ones Carpe Fulgar have localized (Recettear, etc.); I hear Last Remnant is actually playable on PC unlike the 360 version which was a buggy, laggy POS. The Hyperdimension Neptunia games are also on Steam (and they're the updated Vita versions); they're charming and funny, although they're all pretty easy and don't reinvent the wheel mechanically.

The Final Fantasy franchise link takes you to Five Nights at Freddy's -- I think Valve is trying to send a message.

Very much so, yes. I enjoyed it more than the first even. Its very good survival horror done with movie level presentation. Though do not let your daughter watch you play it (though maybe she's older than I think), as some of that shit would have given me nightmares for years as a child. Standard warning about the controls is in effect. It has some extreme consolitis, which I know drives some people here mad, but I adjusted.

It's less about consolitis and more about Capcom's fascination with making you control your character in their games like a tank (DMC excluded).

I don't know, shit like that never bothered me. Loved all the resident evils despite the hated controls also (well, as in, I played them all up through 3 and not a one since).
I just sort of take the controls as part of the game. "Ok, my character can only move like this. I must figure out a path to victory through all the obstacles with these limitations." Its just part of the natural challenge of the game. Though maybe I tend to deconstruct games a bit to much, as most people just scream at the TV wondering why they just cant turn around lightning fast and shoot the fucking thing that jumped up behind them.

I loved Resident Evil 0 on the old nintendo cube thing.
Didn't care for Dead Space on the PC, but I was foolishly trying to play a shooter with a keyb/mouse. I remember being pissed because it was really nice in 3D with the HUDs and whatnot. But those controls, they broke me.

I didn't mind Dead Space 1 and quite enjoyed it, but I seem to remember there were 'config fixes' that I applied to make it a bit more responsive...
Still thinking.
(oh, and you're right about Elena. She's older and mature than she used to be, but Dead Space 1 was enough to realise this isn't really for kids. After all, I never completed Amnesia....)

So far I've bought...Small World 2 and Alien: Isolation.
I've taken 6 games off my wishlist because I realized even with a sale I'll only play them for 25 mins.
