I don't mind them generally being separate, due to the nature of their stories, but a few cameos wouldn't bother me either.

Not directly movie related, but this fits in better here than any of the TV threads. Apparently the TV branches of Marvel and Fox are able to work out a deal with each other at least. They're going to be working together on two X-men related TV series, Hellfire and Legion.

And the reason why...

The F4 will be rejoining the MCU.

Comic book movie reporting consists of just making up then printing anything somewhat plausible.

Peyton Reed (director of Ant Man) is in talks to direct the sequel.
Edit: The sequel to Ant Man, that is.

I'll be curious what they can do with the property when it is in one set of hands from A to Z rather than passed around like the first one was.

Amazon's exclusive Phase 2 collection finally shown. Probably not really worth the $220 they're charging (although I've had it preordered for a while so I have it locked in at $175), but I have the Phase 1 set and I'm a sucker for this stuff. The extra stuff they threw in last time was pretty well made and I really like the art they do for the cover of each movie (although the ones they did for Phase 1 look better than this set).

Yeah, I usually hate clutter and almost never even buy physical copies of movies anymore. Hell I don't even think half the movies in Phase 2 are that great. I like these sets though.

EL Mayimbe claims to have revealed the identity of Peter Quill's Dad - but I am 100% not buying it despite his claim of 4 independent sources.  His claim:
This is an option that you need to really stretch to fit into the data we have about Quill's dad.  I still stick to the theory that it is Starfox/Eros.  I'd guess that Mayimbe's claim is either a mislead by Marvel, or just flat out wrong.

Aside from Gunn's denial, I'm going to call bullshit based on the "Something ancient" line. The Nova Corps just barely ended a war with the Kree, the Kree are one of the major Galactic powers, a rogue Kree has just been the focus of their attention, there wouldn't be anything unknown or surprising about Kree DNA, Captain Mar Vell is a Kree. Somebody either got played, or some 'secret sources' are being played, or they just had this Carol Danvers origin story theory kicking around and were reaching for any shred of confirmation.

And maybe they wanted something that was guaranteed to get a lot of views for the forced Star Wars Battlefront commercial and were willing to burn some credibility for a quick payday.

Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet under, Rome) has been hired to show run Iron Fist.

In terms of hinting when we'll see Iron Fist: Melissa Rosenberg (Jessica Jones) was (officially) hired about 2 years before Jessica Jones was released.  That might put Iron Fist in late 2017 and Defenders in early 2018?

Defenders has to be in 2017.  So probably early-mid 2017 for Iron Fist then Defenders late 2017.

This is strange to me.  I mean, is there a lot of demand for more Mockingbird/Hunter?  I like them in AoS, but a bit unsure of them carrying a show themselves.  Is Hunter even in the comics?  TV surrogate for Hawkeye?  Don't get me wrong, I'd watch Adrienne Palicki read the side of a cereal box, but this seems like it's coming from left field.

As far as ratings go, AoS is far from being one of the top shows on TV so I can't imagine that the idea for Most Wanted is going to simply be to spin off two AoS characters into their own show. Marvel's Most Wanted was the tagline on Thunderbolts for a little while (as well as the name of the TPB that collected the first appearances of the founding members of the team), so it's possible Hunter and Mockingbird could be trying to rehabilitate a team of criminals or something.

I'd watch them in a netflix 'marvel max' show.

But Disney have barely worked out how to make agents and carter be not total shit on a network show, I really doubt more shows is a good idea.

Plus taking Hunter off of Agents is a bad idea in the first place. That show has half a dozen Bobby Morses, but desperately needs more people like Hunter who can deliver normal human dialog.

Well, let's see, at this point who could you have on a Thunderbolts/Suicide Squad show?

Um.

Their version of Graviton, I guess. Is he still alive?
Angar the Screamer.
Calvin Zabo.
Batroc.
Scapel-Fingers Lady?
I suppose you could say that some version of Arnim Zola is still around.
Lorelei from Asgard, if she's not needed for Ragnarok.

But the Inhuman thing lets them start introducing new supers who are more or less MCU-scaled versions of their comic-book equivalents. I think they'd have to look for relatively minor characters who would work as part of a Thunderbolts/AoS scaled storyline and who have no chance of being big bads in near-term future MCU films, but who have some interesting potential character hooks.

Moonstone might work (could even go with having her be a Kree/alien powered character) because "treacherous manipulative sociopath psychologist" is always a fun team-template character.

A minor mystical villain/hero to help set up Dr. Strange? The Hood? The Black Knight? Elsa Bloodstone?

The Fixer is another good template character--minor-league Iron Man/Tony Stark.

Maybe mine out a minor-league Spider-Man character also to set him up? Mysterio might work really well in a team format esp. if you're worried about treachery/plots within plots.

Could go international and get the Gremlin (maybe links up to the Winter Soldier's backstory or Hydra, too).

Jack of Hearts might make a good character schtick hero/villain (has to spend increasing amounts of time in an isolation chamber draining his powers, and resents it more and more)

If they want to start setting up Thanos/GoTG more they could pull in a low-level cosmic/space character. Hammer and Anvil or the Blood Brothers have the same basic gimmick that could be played off for some actually substantive characterization arcs/narrative tension. They could bring in a Chitauri if they want to do some backstory on the first Avengers film.

They hinted at the Leader in the second Hulk film, he could be a hoot in a team series.

Unlikely possibility:

There are still rumors of a Thunderbolts team in the third act or post credit scene (with Red Hulk) of Civil War.  Given the separation of TV and movies, this is even more unlikely.

More likely:

This show is going to have Hunter and Mockingbird go off on their own, or as sanctioned Agents of Shield, to hunt down various superhuman threats - giving them a chance to bring in Netflix characters (likely villians or Night Nurse type characters, introduce C tier characters, test out characters, etc....)

2020 will be the year I gave up all hope.

Wouldn't necessarily have to be established characters although Lash and Absorbing Man would be possibilities. I'm guessing that if they go this route they'd largely be looking at low or non-powered people to keep the budget down.

He's actually a character in the comics apparently, although minor enough that I had to look him up. With the MCU establishing Hawkeye as a relatively responsible family man without any hint of any sort of a shady background, Lance Hunter is more or less the MCU equivalent of Hawkeye from the comics personality-wise.
