So the husband and I were talking about the Heisman and how I'd suggested on another forum (partly to screw with the posters) that Jordan Lynch from NIU should be considered.  The response I got in the thread was that NIU hadn't played anyone good, but the husband countered with the trophy is supposed to be for individual achievement, not team performance (more-or-less, obviously the better your individual achievements are, the better your team should do, right?).  And he said that Lynch has one more game with 200+ yds passing, 100+ yds rushing and X TDs thrown (forgot what this # was) than Manziel does (9 games to Manziel's 8).

Honestly, NIU just won the MAC Championship again last night, have been undefeated in conference play since 2011 (with one more game to go next week), and are ranked in the teens in the BCS standings.  It's like... what does the team have to do to be recognized for doing what they are doing?

No way.  That's ludicrous.  Primarily because I don't see them winning against Auburn.

That would be semi-hilarious. I want to go further. What happens if you get famous Jameis arrested for rape and suspended, and Baylor wins out? Now, you potentially have a QB-less FSU team playing Baylor in the NCG.

I'm down for that.

I think the best part of that scenario is that Ohio State would still be on the outside looking in.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Over and out.

Would require Baylor to leapfrog Ohio St. in the standings as well, of course.

From what I've seen of the computer projections, I think it's impossible for them not to leap them if they win out.

The computers actually like them and Auburn better than Ohio State. With good reason.

Every year it seems the Oregon Ducks just pick a game to lay an egg.

As for Georgia Southern, apparently they won that game with zero passing yards.

Over and out.

I'm pretty sure that was literally the worst football season in school history. Finally over.

Get in line, Kentucky.  why so serious?

EDIT: Baylor going down hard, too. We inch closer to Ohio St. in the title game. I will enjoy the tears if that ends up happening.

Iowa beat Michigan, but Baylor is getting murdered by Oklahoma State. That mean Ohio State skates easy into third now. They are praying for an Auburn win in the Iron Bowl. The sad thing is, it's possible for that to happen. Alabama is vulnerable this year in ways that haven't come out yet with their relatively simple schedule.

They have to get through Auburn and Missouri both. I could see them dropping one of those. FSU is not going to lose to Florida though. Even we beat our FCS opponent.  why so serious?

Florida has now demolished two records for losses that have stood since WWII, so I don't see how they can keep their coach. They are the worst Florida team literally in the last 70 years.

It was a bit of an unfair prediction-  Kentucky had a bunch of guys suspended for doing stupid shit and there was a lot of other turmoil surrounding the team over the past couple of weeks.  There was no way they were going to show up and play.

I felt bad for them. Hell I was at the game and left at the half. There was just no point in watching it.

Oh and our starting QB officially blew out his ACL in that Kentucky blowout. Because, you know, we didn't injure all of our offense yet.

I just don't want ASU in the Rose Bowl.  I have a lot of annoying relatives I'll have to deal with in that scenario.

I was at the UofA game, it was glorious.   Ka'deem carry is a beast:  48 carries, 200+ yards, 4 TDs.  He need to get out this year or they will run him into an early NFL retirement.  However, it had just finished raining for 2 straight days and it was nasty cold in the stadium.  I think I may have reawakened my cold and/or gotten strep.  YAY.

Because they got a little too stupid. 2pt conversion there? Really? Dumb. Deserve to lose and to get their coach fired.

I am ok with it. Makes the BCS even more fun now. Now watch as tOSU goes to face FSU who are without Winston and gets handed an easy national championship. Or better yet, send Auburn over tOSU.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I have now perked up a bit though. Last BCS championship might not feature an SEC team. Perish the thought.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Wasn't a challenge. Can't challenge in the last two minutes.
