I am actually very curious as to how high a level people get before "official" launch on the 20th. I think there should be a catass award with a plaque.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Got my invite a few mins ago but I'm at work.  Those prior to 7/28 should all be in, looks like.

First wave for today (14/12) has been sent; looking at the official forums, seems like it covered the timeframe 'til 6th-10th August.

Having a 10/11 pre-order is probably going to make it close.  Unless there was a rapid drop-off, guessing it's tomorrow for me.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

In today's wave update, Stephen Reid reaffirm what he said yesterday about the wider timeframe for the Early Access mails:

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=16391

Quote
Today, we're inviting many more people to play The Old Republic - more than yesterday, and over a much greater time span.

As explained yesterday, our initial pre-order rush was over a very short span (about a week). Today we'll be inviting well beyond July, but again, we're remaining cautious as we send each email wave.

We're currently planning on sending four waves of email invites today of equal size. We're going to get them out as fast as we can, while monitoring player counts and server population. I'll update this thread when each wave is sent. You can also follow our official Twitter account for notification.

Wave One was sent at 8AM CST (6AM PST / 9AM EST / 2PM GMT / 3PM CET).

We kept checking the pop on our server all day yesterday and it never got over ~100 people on Republic.   It's PvP so figure maybe 230 people total at around 7pm.   I guess basically the problem is some servers have way more early pre orders than others.
The server status page rather consistently showed the pvp servers to have lower population than the others which showed 'full'.

Quite possibly bulk of the "hardcore pvpers" who got access decided to roll on pve servers first, so they could whack foozles in peace.

They're possibly also expecting to be able to transfer from PVE to PVP more easily than from PVP to PVE.  WoW had that restriction for a while.

Do we even know server/toon transfer rules at this time? I suspect that's not something they care about right now though.

Second wave sent: looks like we're quickly heading toward the end of August (and two more waves left, bar any bonus one).

Wasn't it the other way around ? I fail to see the advantage of leveling on a PvP-enabled server. Ask Nebu.  why so serious?

It was indeed the other way around. You could transfer from PVP to PVE, but not PVP to PVE.

The logic was that leveling on a PVP server was much harder than PVE, so in order to have a max level character on a PVP server you had to "earn it" and couldn't level one up on a carebear server and transfer in.

Third wave sent; looks like the very end of august. Possibly we'll get to the beginning of september with the last wave.

I'd be willing to be money that EVERYONE will be in by the end of the day tomorrow.  So essentially Early Access "up to" the 15th that was previously posted will be for everyone.

Yep, by reading the official forums ( ACK!), with this wave we're already around the 10th of September....Beside the fact that pre-orders slowed down in the late august-september-october timeframe, it really looks like Bioware may speed things up  awesome, for real awesome, for real
