Are we on a tiny assed server, or are the lists not done populating yet?

Looking at the search tool we have like, two ~90 member guilds and one crazy huge one. Looking at some other forums people are posting lists of 500 man guilds 12 to a side on their servers.
t apparently saying the servers listed on the guild page are not final. I'm betting we're on Shien though. Because we can't have nice things.

I show a ton of 400+ guilds on Shien.

EDIT: Never mind, the search filter is broken and giving me other servers too.

Yes, thankfully.  When I clicked Kildy's link it looked like we were on the same server as Starfleet Dental, but it turns out they're on Veela.

Over and out.

We're also not sharing the server with AIE.  Yahoo!

Also: http://www.zam.com/story.html?story=28498

Quote
ZAM: All right, let's switch our focus. One thing that has players - and me - concerned is endgame content and just how robust or deep it will be. Hand in hand with this concern is the fact that, currently speaking, the content quality of SWTOR is very high and it obviously demands a lot of work to complete. Players are worried that if BioWare wants to hit a certain development cycle to keep players interested, something might be negatively affected in the process. Are you confident that you can deliver enough content on time without skimping on quality?

Ohlen: I think so. Right now, we have a legacy system in place to encourage and reward players for trying out new classes and seeing new storylines. So there's a lot of content there to entertain those players who like to play the "level-up game." On the other hand, there are high-level players who are focused on bringing one character to level 50, and those guys are going to be our main focus for new content. We're going to be producing new flashpoints, new operations, new warzones, and even new single-player content for our highest leveled characters. We already have multiple teams working on that as we speak, and they've got a bunch of flashpoints and operations in the can.

We're also not shrinking the content team at all, and we have a huge content team. Our content team is essentially bigger than… well… I'll just say we have a big content team, how about that! [laughs] We have a very big content team and those guys will continue to work on delivering a regular cadence of high-level content. I can't talk exactly about our delivery schedule, but I can say that within a month of shipping the game, we want to have more high-level content being delivered into the game. We're going to continue to deliver high-level content after that and for the foreseeable future, basically. It's obviously important to us. We want to keep people playing the game, so it's in our best interest to keep doing that.

Some other juicy tidbits in that interview too.

Guild deployment randomness:

Every character you make on the server will get an auto guild invite until ONE accepts the invite. After that, alts need to be added by officers.

My Republic guild is on Shii-Cho. Boring as well, eh?

Now that I'm rolfing (rofling?) it's a good thing it wasn't called Shu-Tchu or we'd have had l33t pvper's on our world.

DarthHater website is trying to keep the server name/count:

http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/19789-guild-deployment-server-assignments

So far, 96 servers between U.S. and EU (including French and German ones), and that's just for guild/early access.

Seriously, we have the worst server name.  Heartbreak Heartbreak Heartbreak

There are some bad server names. My guild is on Trask Ulgo - not many are impressed so far.

The top guild -- in terms of numbers -- is on the "Vornskr" server (also known as the "I'd like to buy a vowel" server).

And in the "can't stop laughing like a 4th-grader" server category: "Death Wind Corridor" (a.k.a. "Fart Tunnel"). Sorry Lantyssa -- just makes me laugh every time I see the name.

We're up to 96 servers.  If you think you can come up with 96+ 'awesome' SWTOR-themed server names, be my guest.

The movies have a character named "Count Dooku" -- sw themed pretty much precludes awesome.

They could have just stuck with planet names which would have been more than adequate and been a one (maybe two) word server name to boot.

There are easily a thousand NPCs in the game. Finding 96 cool names among them wouldn't have been too hard. Nem'ro? Vash? Malthas? Settile? etc.

It's a smuggler ship in a really bad Old Republic EU book based on the Deceived trailer. Doubtful they'll rename it. Worst book of the Old Republic EQ stuff I read this fall, and that's saying something.

Got our deployment email at around 4:15, a few hours after swtor.com was updated with the infos.

Since this is set in the Old Republic, I'm pretty sure it's the smuggler's ship they're referring to. Blame Paul S Kemp's trashy writing for anything beyond that.

Take a look at the Guild Allies/Enemies page if you haven't. We have a sad face  sad regarding the Flameborn.

Still counts them as an Enemy. I wonder if there is any actual point to having an enemy or ally on another server.

My guild got the super-boring server "Lord Adraas". Google says it's supposed to be some random emo sith lord, but I'm pretty sure that's redundant. Can't even make any good puns with it except for the obvious 'address' thing.

I was rooting for 'Moomo Brothers' or 'The Moomo Williwaaw' too ;(
