This is what I like to see. Serious, hardcore stakes. Three seasons of Snoosnoo, potentially dead.

Season 2 MVP, BALEETED!  I am really trying to force my own hand here, as I know I will be tempted to play a 4th season with the necros if I don't delete them.  Win or lose, Whitemane and the skilled zombie horde are making their last appearance.

Having a nurgle feeder team that has a beast with block makes this a lot easier, of course.

Honestly given our general history of flaming each other combined with the competitive nature of the game it is a wonder we haven't had more drama than just this.  why so serious?

Anyway. Assuming I don't get Khemri'd, I promise to beat Andy in round 2 and spare you all the horror of a repeat.  Heart

Ingmar, you almost tied against a bunch of feverish sick amazons (and a damn lazy wizard who fell asleep in turn 15). How do you think you can beat a bunch of genetically modified and almost certainly doped Dark Elves?

Look, honest to God... I'm a mellow guy. But two things set me off: tribalism and tediousness, and the jump AndyDavo thing for months on end combined both of them in an explosive mix. It also revealed that I don't much care for Sky, but that may have more to do with him inexplicably dumping on one of my best RL friends for no reason.* But even then, it won't affect the league. I'll just foul him harder.

You have to keep a Chaos team at least two seasons before big dividends pay off. I don't know if I could ever bring myself to delete a decent Chaos team.

I wouldn't even wait for the cash.  It's better to dump him now if he is dead weight and could eat up an MVP.  Or maybe I run the Presidents with too much of an iron fist.

Thank you Falc for running all this and validating games so quickly.

If anyone is able to post on goonfleet.com, I'm trying to start a league on there in the games forum. I know IainC already posted his interest in joining. Mostly because after my horrible end to the season I expect to be out of the play offs by tomorrow.

My Season 2 Girls WILL be back for Season 5. I have too many girls with no skills still.

What? I thought I broke his arm...and doesn't strength influence pass ability, or is that ever only AGI?

Yeah, that's right, I don't know the passing mechanics very well...probably because I've only ever tried to pass maybe 3 times.

Sorry if I offended you in our game, Sky. I could tell you were upset, and I tried to lighten the mood with some dumb jokes. I sincerely apologize if there was something I said that made you feel worse. I tried to talk to you afterward to clear the air but you immediately logged off steam.

That said, I really don't think I played our game in a particularly petty way. I didn't let up on you after your initial bad rolls, but you very quickly stopped trying to win or even slow me down. My choices were to similarly disengage or to try and win while skilling up my team.  Since we're playing blood bowl in a persistent setting, I decided on the latter.

I know having bad dice sucks. Sometimes when it happens to me I get all passive aggressive or otherwise obnoxious in game chat, and a lot of times after a really devastating loss I have to sulk and drink and do something non-competitive. That said, I feel like it's unfair to blame me for the game not being fun when you stop trying to play it halfway through.

I would've PMed you this but I wanted to publicly challenge this idea of me as a ruthless asshole. I really am a nice guy, honest! I play a halfling team in the feeder league!

"Running up the score" is not something anyone should ever bitch about in Blood Bowl. Like it or not the game is designed such that you should pretty much be doing it any chance you get due to the SPP system. Likewise with clean turn 16 hits, etc. The only grey area IMO is the late game foul/surf, and even those are often pretty defensible.
