Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition is on sale now for $8.

I'm so mad I missed this
At $40, it's still worth it.  I don't know a single person that has bought it and sunk less than 100 hours into it.

This is why I still haven't bought it. I just can't imagine myself enjoying Warhammer Football.

Me too, though that's more due to my time constraints than the game itself. I don't think I've gotten around to firing it up, even.

I definitely don't think it's for everyone (unlike some around here), but I will reiterate that being interested in football has no bearing on enjoying Blood Bowl. Like, not even a little bit.

Fable 3: “You cannot join this game because you do not have the same downloadable content as the host” Is bullshit. I downloaded all the free DLC from the Games for windows live. However, my girlfriends does not download ( Account says she has it, game does not list the items nor are they in game ), and the games for windows live ( Stand along client ) will not sign in due to an exception.

The worst part, why would you NOT left others join your game who has DLC you don't ( Not talking about quest packs here )?  Do they not want "Hay, where did you get that?" Questions?

Fuckin GFWL.

So apparently, GFWL with a first time install does not update .net.  Ohhhhh, I see.

It probably wouldn't update you to the latest Framework unless that's the one it uses.  Programs need to be written for a specific Framework or specific later version from my understanding.  (Sort of a less extreme version of "Why do I have 18 installs of VC++?")

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that THQ hit collection is about 200 bucks of games for 50?

I keep considering it and then wondering if I want to simulate hours of trudging through monster infested, frozen, Russian sewer-tunnels that are the last bastion of a doomed humanity.

It is, and that's most of the point.  It's also very claustrophobic at times, at least to me.   I almost pussied out and didn't finish it, but I'm glad I didn't.  It's a very well put together game.  I did however have to turn down the difficulty so not to give myself a heart attack.

The one it installed would not run it. I had to figure that out, and install it myself.

I would have bought it if not for owning half the games already. I'm waiting for the DoW games to go on a daily sale.

Does anyone know if Saints Row 2 was patched to be playable or is it still a horrible mess?

Duke is on sale for $10. Not sure it's even worth that much.

Saints Row 2 was playable for me, I got it from a friend who somehow ended up with an extra steam copy.  It felt a bit consoley, but not the worst I've seen. YMMV.

As far as I know, Saint's Row 2 is playable, but you have to jigger with it a bit.  I was having an issue with the game running too fast, and had to download a fan-made mod to slow the game down so that it would run right, but after that, it worked fairly well (did crash occasionally, if I recall).  I wouldn't recommend getting it if you don't have a controller, though, steering a car with A and D is not going to cut it for a lot of the game, I think.

I'd say Duke is worth $10.00.  For full price, I agree, probably not worth it, but $10 seems like a good value for a short, simple shooter.  It's not HORRIBLE, just generic and massively overhyped.  That said, releasing multplayer DLC for it seems like a bad move.

Duke is 25$ USD in Australia so even easier to pass up. I quite enjoyed Saints Row 2 on the PC, graphics were very ordinary and I got bored eventually but it ran okay for me. Jagged Alliance 2 on special but already own it, and really would like to play it again.

Duke Nukem Forever is $10 and I still am debating if it's worth it.

For that price go for it. Make sure you start the game using the expansion Immortal Throne instead of the original game. That way you get all of the original content plus the expansion content plus the added gameplay mechanisms the expansion adds. If you start the game with just the original Titan Quest you miss out on stuff like shared storage.

If you're a Diablo fan, go for it.  If you don't care for mindless clickfests, it may not be worth it to you.

I got bored with the game in about 30 minutes.

30 minutes for a £2.50 game is within my pint equivalence tolerance but may pass on it. Can't say if Diablo is my thing or not having never played it.  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I'd give it a go then.  It can be a very fun little game if you're in the mood.  It's well crafted for the price.

I played all of Titan's Quest. It's not bad and a very easy little hacknslash/loot machine.

Use one of the editors to up the drop rate to a reasonable rate and it will be able to tickle your lootfancy without being reduced to farming the endmonster.

Or enjoy it for one playthrough and be done with it. Also not wasted money for that price.

I found titan's quest really boring. I never could work out why, it's competently done and the price was really cheap, but it never had any off the excitement of diablo. Something to do with dull abilities, level design and loot I suspect.

Same thoughts here.  Lots of potential, needed a better director/writer/producer perhaps.

I really enjoyed Titan Quest, it's even a rare "real" game that my wife really enjoyed as well and ask me if we could play.  But then again I also didn't like Torchlight at all which most people strongly disagree with so maybe I'm just strange.
