The icemen costumes are about what I expected. His most common one has always basically been just a guy who was totally made of ice and honestly did kinda look like the silver surfer. The newer spikey version seems pretty accurate to what I have seen in the comics.

I'm so happy I don't understand anything in that thread.

It means my healing from MMO addiction has finally begun.

I really don't get it. I have one character with a GotK (X-23) and I can't say I've ever felt like it completely changed the way she (or I) plays. In a game where the majority of characters can face-roll most content in sub-par gear, the only thing that marks a GotK out as remotely special is how stupidly fucking rare it is. The best part is the only people who play the 'economy' are just going to pass this around to each other.

Diablo III pretty much taught us what an 'Economy' means to a game like this.

Isn't a gok basically the same thing as a soj in Diablo 2? Some rare drop piece of gear that is best-in-slot for all specs or something that is guaranteed to "keep its value" so that it basically acts as player currency. I don't think having a gok actually matters unless you run red raids or want to flex your epeen by killing the raid dummy in 20 sec or whatever...

That stuff is literally only important for ultra min/maxers. If you have never used the term "ttk", then you are fine without the ultra rate artifacts.

I can't currently play as my connection is as ass-y as I feel, but it seems they've completely disabled the Midtown Shared Quest for the moment as, once again, it revolves to rescuing citizens and, once again, citizens are unrescuable/non-existant. MM's been having a lot of troubles over the past few months, the recent re-jig has just made things so much worse for me. Rescue screw-ups are the least of my worries when I'm literally locked out of boss encounters because for whatever reason, I freezeframe for 30+ seconds if I even go near the fight, and either miss it entirely or find I've been burned to death by 35 Arsonists who just happened to conveniently spawn when I can't do anything. Yet away from the boss fights, I can wade into 4 converging packs of 50-60+ mobs without a single stutter.  swamp poop

Oh is THAT what's going on. Jesus I thought my system was choking on MH itself.  I couldn't figure it out because nothing else I throw at my system gives it such problems.

I tried this today - team instances have me stumped.

You join a queue, eventually get a invite, accept the invite..... then nothing.... then get dumped back to the queue.

Is everything broken or am I missing a giant button to take me into the instance?

Not sure what group instances you mean but last night and earlier this morning there was a problem with their isp and shit was laggy and broken, it is fine now.

When you accept the invite you will be auto-ported to the instance. If you aren't and it dumps you back in the queue then something's wrong on their end. Either their ISP or the instance servers are having a fit.

I imagine if someone declines the invite when it pops up it can delay when you get ported into the instance and/or dump you back in the queue if there's going to be a wait for a replacement.  That's just a guess, though.  I know I've had some long waits before getting ported but that's not typical.

Over and out.

Yeah, it gives everyone a minute or two to click accept and throws you back into the queue if someone declines or is AFK.

As you guys suggested - turned out to be some server problem yesterday.

Same as before i guess, i tend to focus on one character most of the time.  I only leveled the last few i was missing cause the exp was so good.

Ahhhh. I think I understand now. The total levels counter doesn't count prestiged levels at all. That's kind of odd. I've levelled some characters something like 16 times between them, so if you remove the initial 1-60 for each that's still nearly 700 levels the game simply doesn't count.

They'll probably start counting that with the achievement thing they keep talking about. But when that comes is anyone's guess.

I guess he must have +600% or more xp from events, synergy, and boosts?

The omega bonus is to base exp, it gets multiplied by whatever boost + synergy you had.  Yesterday omega exp was at 192%, i do have the 200% hero synergy exp and i had like 500 or 600 in boosts.  It was only (slightly under) 45 minutes because i only rerolled story quests, if i had rerolled everything except terminals it would've been faster. A mob that would give 100 exp normally was giving me around 2400 exp or more with that much bonus exp.

XP was rolling so fast yesterday that I don't know how he plays really. I got to ~20 without really paying attention, but Iceman at least looks fun.

My first random hero from the newbie splinters last weekend was Punisher. Seemed a bit dull at the time but now I get my moment in the Sun!
