Before they took down the test center forum, one of the devs posted that they still had work to do on her and would finish that up over the next couple weeks. So, she's not done, but apparently that's not any sort of criterion for being ready to release anymore. I, of course, am part of the problem. I was level 60 four hours ago.

I might have you beat... I was 60 twice and halfway again. I'm actually liking the movement build more than the bleed build. I'm gonna try a hybrid build this time around.

Has she worn that in the comics? I don't know much about her.

Once. It didn't stick. Why was she in that costume? Seems pretty random (it's from the Imperial Guard).

It was from one of her first appearances in comics (X-23 was originally created in the cartoon X-Men: Evolution). She was working at a mutant themed bar, because why not. Apparently Wolverine had taken that costume from the Imperial Guardsman Fang. X-23 was wearing an exact same version of that outfit because that's just what happens in comic books, I guess.
Edit: Back then they were also going to give her the codename Talon, but that didn't stick either.

I think I am going to stop at red. Doing the 25x exp penalty for yellow seems a bit too extreme.

I'm stopping at Red prestige because that's the colour I associate with X-23 (like my NC is Blue prestige and my Psylocke is Purple). It's Ms. Marvel I'm pushing to Cosmic when I can be bothered, but I'm kind of waiting to see if they give Carol any QoL loving first.

What does the prestige do for you other than give your hero a different colour name?

Spent some splinters to buy Nightcrawler. He's fun, but goodness is he squishy, that or I'm doing it all wrong. He's also very obviously an early hero because he's a spirit hog.

Right on both counts, Psylocke is everything he should be.

The trick to Nightcrawler is to stick to his teleportation powers. Don't sit still, ever. Once you can get it, grab the stealth/heal and pop it any time you take a bit of damage.

Or just pop it all the time and use it in conjunction with the powers that do more damage when stealthed.

This game is amazingly pretty when you play it on something a bit more recent.
Now to remember how to play Black Widow again.

Thor with power cosmic is probably the best of the group you have. I think Storm is 200 splinters and she's fine. Psylocke, Juggernaut, Rogue are I think all top tier (although a Luke Cage now has the lowest TTK (time to kill boss dummy).

I have: Taskmaster isn't a horrid way to spend 200 splinters, he's not great at 60, but he lets you try out Cap, Dare Devil and Hawkguy. Honestly though, just play the chars you like. I'd suggest going onto the test server and trying a few out. They all play a little different so it's a free way to try em. And they sell a potion that makes you level 60.

Seconding the Thor recommendation, he's probably my favorite now. Mobile Torch is fun, don't play ranged Torch. Jean is powerful and easy to play, as is Scarlet Witch.
Captain America is "hard mode", you can do damage, but you work way, way harder to do it and have to manage your health and spirit along the way.
Wait for Hulk's 52 review, which is coming (I think) in early January.
I recommending sticking with someone though, because almost all of the heroes are more fun at higher level than lower level.

I have all of those and have found fun in most of them.
Torch is good fun, but squishy. He's your standard glass cannon. Scarlet Witch is more fun when you play the teleport version. Her discoball thing may be technically more damage, but it's boring. Hulk is oddly bouncy, but fun. Be sure to use his CDs on CD, in particular the one that regens his health because he's remarkably squishy. Captain America is like Ms Marvel, fun once he gets his jump. To that point, you just throw your shield and run around punching things left alive.
Of the 200 splinter heroes, Storm would be my recommendation. She can do it all, though I hear Black Panther is strong. But I got bored with him in the 20s.
Industry City has really changed up my feeling on heroes. There are so many ranged enemies and they spawn so fast. I was playing Taskmaster last night and he was just getting wasted every time he had to stop to kill a pack or kill a boss.

X23 is the queen of the 200 splinter heroes now, there is no good reason not to buy her with your first 200 splinters.

Hero packs are 50% off on Steam, great deal considering the extra goodies they all have (including game money that damn near covers the cost).
