It was a good match. We had a few real cliffhangers, and you nearly tied it up with that runaway vampire around turn 11. I was pretty fortunate with some GFIs, and just barely managed to take him down. That blitzer gets a bonus.
Sent you the replay, Falconeer. Looks like the game day is almost complete.

Awesome! Validated the match.
Now we just need the Strazos bs. Avaia game and we can advance to Day #4.
And Teleku, don't forget your replay or I can't update BBManager.

We plan to play Sunday evening, EST.
And just FYI, whoever I play next...I probably won't be available to play until at least the late evening of the 30th; I out of town starting Monday afternoon.
At least they'll have lots of time to review tape.

I'll be unavailable from next Friday till Thursday so if my next opponent (eldaec) can play me before the weekend that'd be great!

Mmm I hereby propose that we'll make Game Day #4 longer than the usual 9 days. Chances are we won't need the extra days, but try and make sure we won't fuck up and will have to be sorry later, due to a holiday week I wasn't aware of, seems like a reasonable decision. What do you think?
And this is hoping/considering Avaia and Strazos will play today, so we can wrap up Game Day #3.

Makes sense to me. I'm travelling for Thanksgiving as well, but due to this being my BYE it never really mattered much. Considering how fast we've been moving through game days so far I don't think it's a big deal to lengthen the next one. Finishing this season by Christmas would be awesome because it would allow for a small break between seasons 2 and 3 without any delay in game days. It's tough to make predictions like that though since it's still over a month away.

Avaia and I just finished our game. It was brutal, but could have been worse. It was a tie, but it could have gone either way with a better roll here or there.

Great! Game validated and Game Day #3 is over!
Let's keep move on to the longer than usual Game Day #4. I'll post the details tomorrow morning, but I'd set as a deadline December 3rd. Chances are we'll be done before that anyway.
Matches are:
-Group 1- Eldaec - Llyse Ezrast - Modern Angel Comstar - IainC - Teleku BYE
- Group 2- Megrim - Strazos Proudft - Xuri Avaia - Falconeer - Ruvadt BYE
It would be great if Megrim and Strazos could play before Strazos leaves, but we prolonged the deadline just to make sure the game will be played, so if i can't be before Strazos trip, just make sure to play between November 30th and December 3rd. Same for Comstar IainC, make sure to play the 29th (when Comstar leaves)!

Megrim, I'll be on the rest of the evening, but after tonight my ability to play before next Tuesday is doubtful at best. I'm a touch disappointed that while I am still atop of my division, I don't have any players it seems on the hall of fame boards. Fake edit: And wow, good thing for the apothecary - my 'Zerker who killed Avaia's ghoul was nearly killed himself in that same match.

Teleku, that's the corrupted replays' fault. Whenever you upload a replay that doesn't really work, it gives some fucked up data. Which is a shame

Just played the game with ezrast. It was a strange game. Back and forth, very even in the first half. We ended it 1-1 with no serious injuries but lots of shoving and cage play. Second half saw a fumble by 6 Pools' formidable star thrower into the hands of one of my blitzers. After some keystone cops trundling around, Freight Train Joe managed to score. There was still time for the Amazons to win it but a midfield kick followed by a blitz for the orcs left the ball right back in the hands of Freight Train Joe, who promptly ran it in from midfield for the touchdown. With it being 3-1 it was all over for the ladies.

Well that was embarrassing. I went to all the trouble of caging up in the second half and then just sort of handed the ball over. Whoops.

Well may they say that Nuffle is a Bitch.
Because nothing was nice about Nuffle for me for the first 13 turns of that game!
Turn 1, he stabs and kills my merc.
Turn 2, my bilitzer trips over and dies (and is only saved by the apoc).
Until turn 13, every single reroll I used for a critical issue, failed. GFI's. Double blocks. Dodges. Catches. I can say I outplayed the Dark Elves by a large factor - IanC rarely tried to secure the ball before trying to kill my players first, and eventually his amazing amount of luck (or my bad luck) failed him.
Even though he outnumbered my girls 2-1, I often was able to break 1 or 2 girls away to attack the lone or unsupported ball carrier...and then fail horribly at taking advantage of it. Until turn 13, any critical reroll, failed. 3 times on GFI's double 1's! Including running into the Touchdown zone.
However, eventually Nuffle smiled on me, the rain cleared, the Dark Elves actually failed in a pass, I was at the last moment able to dodge away, attack the ball carrier, grab the ball, dodge the counter attack, Get the F out of there, GFI, GFI, reroll, and GFTW.
The dark elves kept spending their time trying to knock the Amazons over, rather than go for the ball - a classic mistake. Granted it worked, in that I was down 2-6 players at any one time from the get go, but too much time was spent getting double knock-downs, with no rerolls, and eventually a double skull would come up. Meanwhile, too many of the dark elf players were still standing around instead of either protecting or attacking the ball carrier.
Still, a win is a win, and I might have enough to afford a full team next game.

Played the game vs Comstar which was a very scrappy affair. I started off well murdering one of his players with my assassin and generally breaking people. Rolled the ball up the pitch and lost it, got it back and threw a long pass. Scrambled around a bit and suffered some poor luck before finally scoring 7 turns in. Second half started badly and got worse. Comstar equalised off a fumbled pass and then scored the winner after I failed to keep my players on their feet long enough to stop him. He had a few spots of bad luck with rerolls but mostly (after an atrocious start) the dice went his way for most of the game.

Silver Horde lose 2-1 to Alive not dead, but only 1 man out of the next match!
I actually think this would have been 1-1 if not for a retarded attempt by me to pick up a sixth spp on one of my guys with an unnecessary short pass. On the upside, Truckle the Uncivil has picked up his third MVP to regain his 'most experienced player' crown. Shame he's only a lineman, but there you go.
All that said Llyse easily deserved the win, I'm fairly new to blood bowl and it is very cool to see how much skill there is in picking out the blocking formation inside the two minutes with everything else going on.

Hellz yeah! Great game played with Eldaec, there was just a couple of times I thought I could have been in trouble if you blitzed the ball carrier instead of a zombie. The other thing to note (min maxing incoming) is you should probably not burn rerolls for lineman dodges at the end of a turn. It's no biggie if they fail there dodge and end up face first instead of standing up like real men. Actually with norse lineman who start with block you're actually better off throwing 1 die blocks. A dodge is 3+ (4/6 chance) of NOT falling on your arse A block is 5/6 chance of NOT falling on your arse (50% chance of you knocking the other player down if they're skill less) But definitely don't throw 1 die blocks as your first action as you were correctly avoiding Now to just hope bloody Comstar can lose otherwise my last match of the season will be quite interesting...
