Applied as welll. If Llyse hasn't yet applied, I will try to get onto him. He is in Hong Kong and leads a drug & alcohol fueled lifestyle, so it might be tricky.

Deadline was yesterday and we still miss two teams.

One is certainly Strazos. The other one is either Comstar or Llyse: who is of you two is "Catfud", coach of the "Alive not Dead" team?

Ok Llyse, thank you.

So at the moment we miss Comstar (which I am sure will fix it up in a few hours) and Strazos... who was last online here 4 days ago. I wonder if he's on vacation somewhere, or actually OK to begin with  Ohhhhh, I see.

Same thing happened to me.  Only saw the responses.  But then I found his original e-mail in my junk mail folder.  Don't know why all the responses wouldn't go as well....

Give him until the end of the day, replace him with a dummy team if he doesn't show. That's not me being a dick. That's me watching the exact same thing happen to every league. Be a tyrant. No mercy. Keep things moving.

Cute. We cannot add dummy Teams as the hardcoded rules are "Only one Team per Coach in any given League". No comment.

On the other hand, I think you can actually start with some empty spots in the pools.

It doesn't start without 16 teams. I am asking in Public Chat for 3 volunteers to join it so I can start the League and I'll kick them out as soon as it is sorted. But this is, as usual, fucked up. Meh.

Would it be easier to set it to 14 and only need one volunteer? Or did I miss something?

14 didn't work with the "Cup" format and 2 pools. Had to be 16.

I got the League started! I kicked out the 3 random guys, and now the Calendar is set. Apparently Strazos has time to join until the first match gets played. If he manages to join, he will take the place of the "Nerve Agents" dummy team, in "Pool 2".
What annoys me if Strazos doesn't get in is that we now have "Pool 1", with 7 teams, and "Pool 2", with 6 teams. Which means, Pool 2 will play one game less, and Coaches will have 2 "Game days" without an actual match instead of one. Boring.
Only way we could have made it different was with a single Championship pool of 13 teams (hence, 12 matches per team. Probably too many).

On the bright side, take a look at this beautiful third party program, BBManager. It is obviously legal and approved by Cyanide.

Well, here's where I think we should go with this. Lame or not, we need to hammer out a season. Keep the momentum up, play promptly. At the end of the season, we'll either lose a couple from our 14 or gain a couple. But either way, the faster we do the season one the sooner we can reevaluate things and see if we need to expand it or contract.

Comstar, times suggested in a pm, check your pms.

Also, were the groups manually chosen to minimise same race matchups, or did the system do that, or were we just lucky?

Groups totally randomised. I didn't even pay attention to race matchups yet, yes they look cool.
And yes, I could have "handpicked" the groups, but I only made sure the 3 dummy teams weren't all in the same group, then give it a go. And hey, so many Amazons. I wasn't expecting that.

Yeah, I actually was playing around with Amazons after I already submitted my team, and I probably would have gone for them as well.  Didn't realize you had access to 4 blitzers (who start with dodge and block) from the get go....

Also, tits.   awesome, for real

So, Falc, do league results not show until they're certified by you? Because after a snorter of a game I was sent from my Orc team's postgame screen to the team screen of a halfling team I've played once, ever. My stats have not been altered on my orc team screen. No SPPs, no statistics, no win-loss update, nothing. It shows the correct result on the calender and on the scrolling recent matches doodad up top but nothing in league.

Have you tried selecting your team from the main overview screen (for all online teams), and hitting the manage team button?

Fixed. It's a feature. League Manager has to VALIDATE the result. I just did, so you and Llyse can enjoy your experience, money and SPPs now.

On another note, Modern Angel just lost (2 - 1, to Llyse) the first match of Season #2   why so serious?

Yep, things are square now.

We had an absolutely insane match. I scored on my opening possession quite handily, killing his lone ghoul in the process. He proceeds, in the remaining four turns of the first half, to kill my lineman who scored and seriously injure three others.

Reposted for general viewing:

Well Modern Angel and I just finished our first wild match and what a match it was.

Orc vs Necromantic it was always going to be a brawl with the edge to the Orcs.

A couple of KOs and Calvin the Drooler fall face first on failing to dodge a slobbery death meant buttface the lineorc ran in an easy touchdown.

Somehow though with Alive not Dead playing 3 cadavers down manage to equalise thanks to some unfortunate Orc injuries.

By the 2nd half Team SnooSnoo had 1 badly hurt, a gouged eye, smashed ankle and poor buttface was raped to death by spectators after his magnificent touchdown.

Final score was 2-1 to Alive not Dead (yet).
