As usual, release dates are subject to change, especially some of the ones further out.  Splatterhouse and Epic Mickey in particular are both estimated release dates, with no firm release dates announced as of yet.  I started to do individual links to the f13 Amazon store, but quickly realized it would be too time consuming this time around, so just remember to use the generic link in the upper-right corner when purchasing.  Feel free to mention any glaring omissions or errors.  Especially during the holiday season, it's impossible to list every release, but I'll try to add any requests in when I have time.

Also, Move and Kinect games have not been listed.  If someone wants to make a thread for that, then have at it, but for the most part the lineups for both fall into the "casual" end of the spectrum that I don't think too many people here would be interested in.

For me, I go into a coma as of October 26.  FU2 (which is a great acronym), Fable 3 and Rock Band 3?  All on the same day?  ON THE SAME DAMN DAY?!!  Rock Band 3 alone will eat me alive at least through Christmas.

I don't even care about the rest of the list.

Some notes about what I'm interested in and why:

Spider-man:  Mostly interested in this due to being a comic nerd.  The Noir and 2099 stuff in particular looks good.  Plus they get additional geek points for the voice casting.  Neil Patrick Harris does Amazing Spidey's voice (he also did Spidey's voice in the MTV Spider-man series), Josh Keaton of the recent Spectacular Spider-man series does Ultimate Spidey,  Christopher Daniel Barnes from the 90's series does Noir, and Dan Gilvezan from Spider-man and his Amazing Friends does 2099 Spidey.

Lionheart: Kings Crusade comes from the developers of the King Arthur wargame.

Civ V: Obvious reasons to be interested in this one.  This game will most likely take up most of my gaming time for a couple months.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow:  Looks to be a competent God of War clone.  The press recently got to go through the first 8 hours of the game, and apparently that is just a fraction of the game (sounds like it could be 30+ hours).

Two Worlds II:  Looks to be a massive improvement over the first game.  Will still wait for the reviews to come out, but it's looking a lot like an Elder Scrolls game at this point.

Fallout New Vegas:  Again, obvious reasons.  It is Obsidian though, so I'm praying that this will actually be complete and bug-free.

Vanquish:  Gameplay vids don't do much for me, but it's from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

Splatterhouse: After some development issues that resulted in BottleRocket being shut down, this project is looking surprisingly good to me.

LBP 2:  Ok, the first game wasn't perfect, but I think LBP 2 is still worth supporting (even if I probably don't have the patience to make any really cool shit myself).

Edit:  It should also be noted that the new Need for Speed game is developed by Criterion (of Burnout fame).

Can't wait for EOIII! Is that six characters I see?  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Fallout: New Vegas looks  awesome, for real, but Obsidian, so  Ohhhhh, I see..

Dead Rising 2 will be cool if they get rid of the stupid timer for the story missions.

I'll probably buy AC: Brotherhood, even though the story is fuckstupid.

Golden Sun is using the stupid 3d graphics instead of beautiful sprites? Bleh. I'll probably still get it.

It's an Armored Princess expansion with a couple campaigns and an editor.

It's going to be very hard not to pull the trigger on some horribly overpriced RB3 bundle.  I've resisted for two games but the keyboard may be too much.

Aside from that, there's just NHL 11 (rental/sale/not-paying-full-price) and a new King's Bounty, which is great, but I haven't even played the first one yet.  Also, I'd want to wait for confirmation that Fable III and Gothic IV aren't going to make me angry or suicidal respectively.

Mostly likley buy:
-Dead Rising 2. I actually liked the timed story missions.  I didn't like the lack of a decent free roam option.  Having the rogue-like infinity mode wasn't terrible, but sometimes you just want to club some zombies.
-DeathSpank: Thong of Virtue.  It's DeathSpank.  $15 for longer than the original sounds just fine.
-Fable III.  Unless the reviews are really bad.  Molyneaux promises the world, but just ends up making action RPGs that I find to be rather fun.

Scared of because the dev is shit or it's weird Euro-wank:
-Fallout: New Vegas
-Arcania

No clue:
-Epic Mickey
-Enslaved
-EA Sports MMA
-Castlevania
-Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

I like the Assassin's Creed games, so I'll pick that up.  Likely pickup Epic Mickey for my kid for xmas.  Other than that, meh.  Bring on Guild Wars 2.  Maybe I need to go on a sabbatical.

I'm curious to see how the PC version turns out since they've got it on Steam.  Capcom hasn't really had the greatest PC ports in the past, but I'd be much more likely to play the multiplayer on Steam than I would on Live or PSN.

Edit:  Also, in regards to Fallout: New Vegas, while I share the same concerns about Obsidian, I'd be surprised if Bethesda were to let this game ship in an unfinished and buggy form.  I think the success of Fallout 3 has made the franchise valuable enough to them that they wouldn't risk damaging it by letting a half-assed game go to market.

Yeah, that list was pretty uninspiring.

I'm probably in for Civ V, but I'm going to wait to see how it works out for other people first. I can't quite pinpoint where the ambivalence comes from, but it's there.

I'll be picking up Recettear in two weeks, as well. That should see me through September at least.

I'd like to see Fable 3 for the PC, but I'm guessing it's been pushed to the now-crowded February 2011 slot (anticipated: Deus Ex, TDU2, Brink).

Depending on how bored I am in November, I may end up picking up either Two Worlds II or Gothic 4; both will be heavily dependent on trying the demo first though.

DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue - (XBLA, PSN) - this is my only must have on that list.
FFXIV collector's edition (regular edition on Sept 30th) - (PC) - buying just for curiosity sake against all good judgment

I'll pick up King's Bounty and Civ5 in a steam sale, I'm in no rush for those. then there are a number of items I may pick up on sale or later in their life in bargain bins. Ultimately, a slow holiday season. I welcome this slowness since I want a new TV for my bedroom as well as being aware that just like every other year Amazon and Steam will be tag teaming my wallet. I've come to accept this.

I want to wait until Civ 5 has some expansion that makes it awesome. However, I've always bought the new Civ at release and will probably do so again. Know thyself and whatnot.

I'll probably give Two Worlds 2 a spin, I got enough enjoyment out of the first to justify what I paid for it. Also going to see what they do with "Gothic 4", should be interesting to contrast against Risen (made by the Gothic 1-3 dev house). I do like me some eurorpg, though. Fallout:NV I'll grab eventually, really anything but Civ 5 and RDR for PC (I'm guessing Q2 2011) at this point is a steam sale in waiting imo.

Force Unleashed 2 looks pretty, we'll see how it plays.

That last spidey pic looks amazing, though!

Hm, let's see what we have...

Already Preordered
Civilization V - though serious strategy gamers predict it will be dumbed down and they'll keep playing Civ4

I Get it Free but I'd Probably Have Bought It
Fallout: New Vegas - any comments I might make here, pro or con, must be redacted

Holding Off Until I See the Reviews
Two Worlds II - the first one was terrible, but previews were surprised by the quality
Arcania: Gothic IV - I can't keep track of what Gothic games are supposed to be good and which are supposed to be bad

Another quiet season. Most of the games I end up getting these days aren't "event" titles, so we'll see what comes up in the coming months.

Fallout: NV may be humorous in just how bad Obsidian can do with an engine that's already a hog. I think we'll be getting a NWN2 experience in regards to visuals v. performance.

Already preordered in the most expensive wallet raping version:

Halo: Reach (hey, I love the co-op, so suck me.)
Fable 3
Fallout: New Vegas

Really want but can't afford since October is annivesary month:

Arkania
Civ V

Couldn't give a shit about:

Rock Band 3.

Curious about:

Assasin's Creed, Brotherhood. I've heard it's kind of a sidequel rather than continuing the storyline?

F1 2010 - (PC) Will wait for some reviews but the RPG elements to the game will hopefully give it some depth besides just racing.
Gran Turismo 5  -  Day one purchase, will probably replace F1 for a while.
Little Big Planet 2 - Day one purchase, I still love LBP1 and the extended features to modders will make the game insane. Buying the CE, its so worth it.

Arcania: Gothic IV - I can't keep track of what Gothic games are supposed to be good and which are supposed to be bad

Gothic 1 is pretty decent once you get used to the pants-on-head controls. Gothic 2 is widely considered the best of the series. Gothic 3 is garbage: it was rushed to release (so it's incredibly buggy), it looks like a game from 2002 (with a lot of post-processing effects tacked on) but runs like dogshit, the controls are sloppy and unresponsive (compared to Gothic 1's, which are just kinda weird), and the difficulty is all over the place. Risen, at least, proved that Gothic 3 was more of an exception, but no idea how Gothic 4 will turn out. As mentioned, it's a totally different dev house from the previous games.

As for the big list, probably Final Fantasy Gaiden/4 Warriors and New Vegas for me. I'm more interested in seeing what ridiculous discounts Steam will have this year than new releases.

Just downloaded Case Zero, but only messed around with it for half an hour or so.  Pretty fun though if you liked the first Dead Rising.  The Combo Weapon stuff is a nice addition.  Also, while I'm not sure how the full game plays, if Case Zero is any indication it will have the same focus on time as the first game did.

Edit:  Also played the Vanquish demo which just got released.  Didn't find it very fun personally but that's more a matter of personal taste I think, and not a reflection on how good or bad the game is.  For people who click with the controls, I'm sure it will be good fun.

Most likely:
Civ5
FEAR3

Maybe:
Ruse
CoH:O
Fable III (low on the list)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (If they unfuck the controls, or the PC version isn't pants-on-head retarded.)
CoD: Black Ops (World at War had awful level design, but frightening AI. demo video doesn't look promising.)

Well done on the effort here for this, thanks.

Civ 5 and Fable 3 are preorders.
Fallout Vegas is a safe bet I'll get it, Obsidian or not (I've really loved the first half of some of their games!)

Beyond that, money is tight this year. Maybe Rockband 3 if I can just buy the game and keyboard.
Dead Rising 2 I'll consider if they change up the save/timer system. Made the first game just plain unfun for me.

All this may change after going to PAX of course... (Seeing STO at PAX last year actually convinced me not to buy it)

King's Bounty because I can play it with a touchpad on my shitty laptop.

Fable 3
Star Wars: The FU2

Probable impulse/gift card buys:
Gran Turismo 5
Madden 11

Bought for other people:
Rock Band 3

The linked trailers helped put games on my radar so thanks for that.

As long as Castlevania is less repetitive than Dante's Inferno then I will give it a look.  And I have to admit the versus multiplayer in Assassin's Creed looks really fun.

Nobody interested in R.U.S.E.?  Or is the lack of interest a ruse?  I hope the demo doesn't end up rusing me.  Ruse.
