I dunno - I've found the shotgun and the sniper ('I feel like I'm gonna break this thing') and they seemed pretty forgettable compared to the other guns I was using, if only because of their small capacity and their slow recharge rate.

Infinite ammo is nice, tho.

Didn't say they were all the best, but the best guns in the game (of the random guns) are made by Eridian.

My main hardware for the last 25 percent or so of play through one. It is devastating. A shotgun that can snipe anything you can see. Three head shots would drop a  28+ badass.

My win button for the last few levels has been an explosive sniper rifle/static scoped revolver combo. Drop the shields with the revolver, headshot with the rifle, I've been scoring 800 to 1000 point crits at level 17.

Bad. Fucking. Ass.

The last one, the stinger is unGODLY.  Holy fuck.  It regens ammo. My class mod gives me +35% damage.  It reloads like a fiend, less than a second.  I take down badasses in under 5 seconds point blank.  Uuugggggghhhh.  There are more mods than are listed.

Interested in seeing if the hellfire even stands a chance.

Ball Blaster is an interesting gun.  Not sure how good it is.

Day 3: My roommate made me throw away all the weapons I farmed. I kept a few Eridians because I didn't want to get more, thought maybe the game knew better than to double up on that stuff (they almost feel like cheating, I have 3, all amazing). It was a slow night, however, I did get my first SUPER-LEGENDARY (read: FUCKING WHITE) weapon and it's awesome.



Fires fast as all get out. Holds like 84 bullets after my skills are applied. Does a REAM OF DAMAGE IN SECONDS. <3 <3 <3

The rest are good, but nothing to phone home around. I love the Cold Torment, but it's a distant runnerup to the Vile Thanatos.





Edit: By the way, yes, if you get a Pearlescent or you know, WHITE, that sorts to the top of your inventory list. Think twice about selling it. Use it for a bit. Not every stat gets listed.

Regens ammo at a fast pace, shoots 3round burst, reloads fast. Got the same thing 5 levels higher without the ammo regen, so I keep switching back and forth. With the next weapon pretty much sets my soldier.

I got a cool rocket launcher that shoots bursts of 3 rockets.

I'm at an impasse right now.  I want to play the game, but I also just want to farm weapons.

Fuck why is random loot so addicting?

"Helix" rocket launchers are the best. They are the ones that shoot 3 rockets that circle around each other like in unreal tourney. It only uses one ammo and does x3 damage. I'm still using a level 19 one I found in a vending machine.

Though I found one last night that was better but I gave it to mrhat because I'm such a nice guy.

Given the precision of weapon targeting, 3 rockets isn't all that great unless you aim at the ground. Sometimes the rockets will actually go through an opponent.

Helix rockets seem to explode when the center point of them hits the target.

This is probably the most insane rifle I've found. It fires in ridiculously fast bursts, the damage and magazine  is also enhanced further by my heavy gunner class mod, and talent build - meaning I can keep 24 rounds in a magazine, 131% damage, and practically no recoil.

Found a launcher that does 800 damage and shoots FAST and Straight.

The 'only 4 stats show' thing is full of fail, for some reason the okay looking 24 rifle I have beats the same item at level 35. Must be off screen mods. or unbelievably buggy code.

Spent about ~$140,000 for the Solider class mod from a shop. Paired with the above hunting shotgun, five points into Scattershot (+15% shotgun damage, 25% shotgun spread) and 12 shotgun skill points (+12% damage, +24% reload speed and +24% rate of fire), I've been curb stomping most enemies in one shot and badasses in two to three headshots.

Sitting at 33 with Lilith, up to the Trash Coast stuff with friends.



Is ungodly, but doesn't get much use in co-op outside of the occasional turret.  Pretty amazing in no-scope range too.  Hits for about a grand on non-armored stuff.



Is also awesome, although I haven't found a good Mercenary mod to support it.  (I've seen +44% SMG Damage, but with useless skill mods. Pic in spoiler.)




I picked up the mod at the vending machine in Old Haven and wow, was it worth it.  I was duo'ing the four-man version of Old Haven and just ripped the Lance guys apart with it (and a Corrosive Artifact).  I have both skills maxed although I haven't noticed if I'd gotten more health regen with it on than off.



This one's just nice, and I have no idea about the red text.

I got Madjack. Not worth posting since everyone will get it, but it's a fucking amazing revolver if you get one with "May cause explosions" or whatever.

Also, "Sometimes I forget to Reload" is the best thing I've found on an item yet.

This gun lasted me from 24 up through the end of the game at 36. I have yet to replace it in Playthrough 2.

With this thing, I find myself standing there waiting for psychos to run up close, just so I can pop their heads off in one shot. Works really nice with my maxed out elemental proc on my Lilith.

Unending Firepower makes you reload, but your total rounds never drop. And it's critting for 1200+ points plus the corrosion dot.

You posted the "Vile thanatos" and cold torment. You mentioned that the Vile is better

I love the Cold Torment, but it's a distant runnerup to the Vile Thanatos..

I dont understands how, less damage, less accuracy, less fire rate and worse damage mods. Both are pistols correct?
I think I am missing something here, can you elaborate and educate my stupid self please?
