My current setup as a freshly level ten soldier (infantry path), plus a MIRV grenade mod I forgot to snap:

\

I like the machine gun, it's slower than my last one, but higher damage per bullet and way bigger clip. Mostly solved my ammo issue. Well, that and opening with the sniper rifle that lights people on fire, a grenade that pops out more grenades and a shield that lights everyone on fire around me when it depletes as a finisher.

Bone Shredder's an auto-gimme when you kill its owner, and sadly it's stupidly low-level.  By the time I picked it up, I had better greens.   Heartbreak  I got my hopes up so high when I saw the purple glow, too.

Now that is a sweet shield.  I wish mine set people on fire.

Just hit 10. Somewhere along the way I got an awesome sniper rifle that really tipped the balance in my favor.

But forget all that noise. THIS is my new gun of choice:

Got tired of those annoying bandits and skag that keep spawning outside of town, so this things got the rocket launch. One-shotting mountains! DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I haven't been able to snag a decent SMG to save my life.  We've gotten a ton of awesome for all the weapons Mwerevu uses, but not mine.

For looks though, I like this sniper rifle.  (It's not a bad gun, but I found it at level 17.)  Very high-tech, and the scope is more like an open-air magnifying glass with a green dot in the middle.  It has lots of style.

I've had better luck with shields though.  This dropped from the first pile inside the Arid Hills.  If I phase, my shields are completely regenerated by the time I come out.

We've also found two of those Transfusion grenades.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Just picked this up in Act 2 - hits like a monster, and the fire rate is what keeps me from trying to cut myself.

Hits everything it touches for 500-600.

My hustlin' pistol.

Can't wait to equip this one.

My Trip to Pandora, Day 2: Today was a good day for Hunters. It would seem everything that landed on the ground that was DARE I SAY, MAGICAL, was custom tailored to keep me from making a decision.

What the fuck does yellow text mean?

Chance to corrode enemies, fuckin' A.

Oh, I should point out. That last gun, Mean Rage. If you can press the mouse button 4 times in a second, you shoot all 20 bullets in a second and the reload is FAST. That 50 damage is per bullet. So, effectively it's 1000 per second.

There are 3 levels of Legendary:

Orange, Orange/Yellow (his) and Gold. They don't specify this anywhere but it was posted on Gearbox.

Edit: Also, for whatever reason, all the legendary stuff I've gotten wasn't worth keeping. Sold it for mad cash though. These are just the guns I'm left with at the end of the night.

Same here, picked up 3 legendary things, all vendored straight away.

I've had an awesome purple rifle and a purple SMG for the last few levels that have turned me into a bandit-shredding mofo, I'll try and get some pics later :)

No pic, but here's the stats on Sledge's Shotgun (purple)

57 Damage (X11)
0 Accuracy
4.2 Rate of Fire
+150% Melee damage
+106% Damage
+10000% Burst Fire Count

No, that's not a typo.

Gun choice became a lot easier now that I got a support mod that regenerates bullets (in any gun, I love soldiers).

For shield I always go with health regeneration...

For some reason I keep gravitating back to shotguns, with occasional combat rifles/sniper rifles for long range work.  Of course I'm crap at aiming so shotguns seem to work the best in my hands.

I keep two shields, one with a large shield and fast recharge and then a second one with health regen.  Swap them out after a combat if I need health.

That's the way I'm going with the shields, though early on with a lack of inventory room made it annoying as every space counts for people who are normally pack rats  Ohhhhh, I see.

The last stat means it fires all it's rounds with every pull of the trigger. Like the rocket launchers with +300% and a 3 round clip. Sledge's goes boomboomboom, reload. Great for Rekk swarms, I found it pretty useless for anything else due to it's tendency to miss at everything above point-blank range.

Also, from looking at the gbx forum, the helical rocket launcher I gave Hoax is insanely rare.

I'm also a dual-shielder. Have one to regen health and then the one that has the fire aoe for regular use. Small inventory + looterificness =  Head scratch

Not shown, is that gun is x3 because "Helix" rocket fires 3 little rockets that spiral around each other like in unreal tourney. That class mod with that gun and spec'd to explosive damage is doing me well so far.

Hmm, I just got that sniper rifle last night, but it must be slightly different since the level requirement is 25. Found it randomly at a vending machine, wasn't that expensive either. It is completely overpowered for my level and I love it.

I got it last night.  Only a two shot clip, but I kill pretty much anything I use it on.  Playing Lilith, I just run up and shoot.  If anything is left around me, I phase, do corrosive damage, maybe drop a transfusion grenade, then phase back and do more corrosive damage.

I got a very slow, but high damage flaming SMG last night.  The thing hits like a truck and the DoT is pretty high.  Unlike my old SMG, I don't run out of ammo after twenty seconds of fighting.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!
