That'll be a good show I'd imagine. I'll be seeing him in June here in Seattle. I've only seen him in concert when he came through here with Blackfield and that was one of the better concerts I've been to. I'm really really looking forward to it. I saw Steven Wilson in concert last night at The Moore Theatre in Seattle. That was the best concert I've ever been to and I'm not sure it was all that close. I've been to some major shows like The Rolling Stones and ZZTop, but nothing like that. The songs played, the sound mixing, the visuals, etc. It was all just perfect. |

Yeah, the Sword is a great band. Been listening to a lot of that genre, Witchcraft is another great one. Also the instrumental stuff like Pelican and Earthless. So I've been listening to Radio 3 which is the BBC's classical station, slowly learning the kinds of things I like and don't like. I don't like opera or jazz, which Radio 3 play sometimes. But it turns out that I really like a lot of choral music, which I wasn't expecting. This week I ran across this - Kanon Pokajanen by Arvo Pärt and loved it. It's a Eastern Orthodox hymn, sung in Slavonic, so it means absolutely nothing to me in any way, but it's incredibly beautiful. |
