http://www.twilightthevideogame.com/

It's allegedly a MMO. Developed by a team with no experience, just a love of the source material.

Brandon - undergraduate CompSci student
Steve - 'fierce friend', artist and part-time musician
Bethany - spends her time exhibiting her pets at dog shows and works as a pet groomer
Maile - a graphic artist specialising in yougurt pots
Beth - undergraduate animation student who's only hobby seems to be reading Twilight novels
Gretchen - a mother of 4 and expert web designer
Christine - a preschool teacher who has the largest collection of Twilight memorabilia of any member of the team.

So that's an artist to programmer ratio of 5:1  why so serious?

That can't possibly be legit. If they are actually making a game it's going to get FOX'd before they have a chance to release anything.

Amateur team trying to make a game with a well known IP without consent?  Seems legit!

This was her world........until December, 2008. It was then she saw ‘Twilight’ for the first time! Immediately after watching, she purchased all 4 books and completed them all in about 10 days! From that first introduction to current day, her world has exploded!!! She has emerged from her cocoon of unassuming shyness to a much more confident, adventurous spirit!

If it has anything to do with ‘Twilight’ ... she wants to know, see, learn more. Her concept of ‘Twilight’ is the ‘love’ throughout it all.

She is, and always will be, in love with LOVE!

If it goes this will probably be better than Darkfall and "more successful" than Warhammer/AoC.

I wonder what the PvP will be like Heartbreak   why so serious?

I ran a quick T2k campaign last year. We went houserules-happy and had a real blast. The setting can be so amazingly cool.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Get it while it lasts. There's not a single citation of the Twilight copyright. Generic forest pictures. This is fucking fanfic that will get them sued in hilarious fashion.

Instead of looking down on it as a game, think of it as a dating site/smorgasbord mash-up of dumb low self esteem women with daddy issues ready to be led by a string, cow-like, with placid empty eyes, to sit on your dick.

They need to add an 18+ server though, or it would get creepy.

Isn't that the case with big budget titles?  awesome, for real

OP is assuming its somewhat of a design-goal of eve to make players happy.
this is however not the case.

this all depends on how fast we reach critical mass before the wheels fall off and we are all left with empty bottles of tequila and a large void in time. I give it a week and a half.

It's a terrible, generic, hacky website with "preschool teacher" and "being in love with LOVE" proudly displayed as selling points while four bars of hideous flute music loops over and over. It's a goddamned angelfire page without the neon.

They've got a great graphics designer (or found a good template).  Bravo?

If they manage to put something together which is amazing, after the trademarked IP is stripped out of course, then I'll give them props.  While it is a step up from some games I've seen, a pretty web site does not mean they can make a game.

We've got so many girls in their early 20's coming into the shop who bring up Twilight.  I was even asked whether I liked it.  I replied with something like, "Isn't that the Tigerbeat of vampire movies?  Nah, I need a little bit more Nosferatu from my vampires".  Her reply was, "What's that!?!"   Facepalm
