Didn't see this referenced anywhere but thought it was comment worthy, Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster Cult is apparently a huge WAR fan and co-wrote a song about Slayers with members of the Mythic team. Listen to it here.

WAR does need to fear the reaper though.

I would have thought Barnett would have preferred NiN's "I want to **** you like an animal".

Because that's how I feel after having paid (past tense) for this shabby attempt at a game.

So, the missing ingredient to make WAR fun is more cowbell?

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

Unless I'm still stuck in newbie-land or just a major lover of WAR, I just don't see what sucks about WAR so much.  Everyone keeps saying go to WoW, but to me it is terrible and I still can't get over how annoying I find the graphics, playstyle, mechanics, and just the general feel.

You'll figure it out around level 15.  By 25 you'll curse the game's existance.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Yep, give it some time. You'll see.

The meta irony of a chain from Tolkien to LotRO to SNL to Blue Oyster Cult to Michael Moorcock who hated Tolkien with a vocal, simmering passion is really sweet.

Two guys, a human and a dwarf, were playing BOC on cowbell and lute last Sun in Orc Watch Moria (LotRO).  I had to stop and do a double take.

Damn do I miss the music system for LoTRO.  I kept me entrained for awhile.  I wonder how the PvMP is doing on LoTRO?

much better actually.  The Creeps got a balancing and are now owning a fair more than normal.

I've been so tempted to try LoTRO since I heard you could rickroll people on lutes.

Well that's good.  I still dislike how you can't play a creep as a normal playable character though.  For what they did though they did do it well.  Right now I just like the WAR feeling how there's constant struggle going on.

Really?  For the hour that I played, it was a borely standoff at a bridge.  Farmtastic.
