You can feel it coming... with Walt's stress levels and Jesse's dysfunctionality.. and the whole operation's difficulties and cracks around the edges... but it sure is taking its time getting here...

This just popped up on Netflix streaming, or at least I just noticed it the other day. First three seasons. I watched five episodes last night...

Last Sunday's episode was the best episode of anything that I've seen since The Wire. Phenomenal. This season started slowly, but it has really kicked into gear over the past few episodes. Also, that was one of Bryan Cranston's best performances ever; give that man another Emmy.

Ya, he pretty much locked it up with this ep, but Aaron Paul has been KILLING it all season (last two actually). Dude should actually get the Best Actor for this season rather than supporting but they won't want to split the vote. Esposito should probably get a nod for supporting this season as well.

Man, that whole episode was intense. Giancarlo Esposito is such a good actor as well. Plus, I'm becoming pretty fond of Gus as a character now. I mean, he was just scary before, but now I actually like him.

Esposito is actually the star of this season for me tbh, but yeah, they're all fantastic. I was a bit concerned last season that this was losing it's edge a bit but the slow build up this season has been superb.
Top notch drama, in every way.

That last scene was just scary. The music, Walt's laughing, Skyler's terrified face, and Marie's crying. Jeez.

It's true. That scene was very unsettling. Also, I honestly don't know where the show is going from where it's at right now, and that's a credit to the writers. The last few episodes have been as intense as season finales for other shows.

Oh god, I just finished season 3, and I am ever so glad I don't have to wait for season 4. That would have been maddening.

Seems a few of us just discovered this show. I pretty much lost all of my free time from this past Thursday up through last night watching seasons 1-3 on Netflix. This was like when I found LOST on streaming video. I could not stop watching. The only difference is this show has yet to suck. Now to wait for season 4 to hit Netflix.

Yeah, I was watching it slowly via disks from netflix over like the last year, and then when it got added to streaming, I binged and more or less watched seasons 2 and 3 over the last two weeks.

Bryan Cranston deserves awards for this.

Just picked up this bit of triva and thought I'd share. Aaron Paul's character (Jessie) on Breaking Bad was originally to be killed off during the show's first season. Series creator Vince Gilligan changed his mind and kept Paul in the show due to his chemistry with Bryan Cranston (Walter). Good call. The writing is so great, even if they had killed him off, I'm not 100% sure the series still wouldn't have managed to be as awesome as it has been. But Aaron has just been getting better and better each season.

The story I remember hearing was that he reconsidered it over the writers strike so at least something good came out of that.

I'd imagine it'll be about the DEA and Walt getting cancer again.

Actually that's a good point. When I watched the finale I was trying to figure out why they were using all the random goons and Mike wasn't in the episode at all.

I thought about this as well, and it could either go Mike comes back seeks revenge on walt or mike just vanishes. I suspect that they will be going with a "new player in town" type of situation.

I finally managed to watch all of Season 4 over the last week. This show has never lost its edge or awesomeness at all, and this past season has been the best yet. Had they ended it with this season finale, I'd have been fine because I seriously don't know where they go from here. Of course, I felt the same thing after the ending of season 2 with the plane crash and Jesse being mostly a recovering shell of his former self. Every actor, writer and director on this show deserve Emmys. Cranston has always knocked it out of the park, but the transformation of Jesse this season has been incredible and the actor really sunk his teeth into it. Giancarlo Esposito was fantastic as well, and both he and Jesse really stole the show this season.
