Fox is remaking Broadchurch? FFS, why? I assume she'll be David Tennant's partner in that. And I'm sure Fox will amp it up with plenty of stupid.

I'm finally catching up on this: I've just finished watching S2; what kind of wretched being I was (and am) for passing over this back while it was airing? Shame on me.

I heard all the hype, but didn't sit down to watch until just before the last half season. Blew through it in about a month and then watched the finale live with the rest of America.

I am rewatching The Wire now, and BB, while excellent, doesn't not hold a candle to it.

Agreed. Comparing finales in particular, -30- is probably the single greatest episode of television I've ever seen while Felina (and a lot of stuff in BB) felt a little unrealistic.

I just watched S1E11 (The Hunt?) and it is just mindmeltingly well written and acted. The end of 10  and then 11 are masterful. So well done they make me like Rawls, who is a complete and utter cockmonger.

Breaking Bad did have some really good moments. The first ep or two of Season 4 when Gus is dressed up in his protective suit was jaw dropping.

That episode is titled "Boxcutter" and the first time I watched it made me nauseous.  Fucking brutal scene.

Huh, I almost clicked on a spoiler for The Wire because this is the Breaking Bad thread.  Still haven't gotten around to The Wire yet, but it's pretty close to the top of my list right now.

Isn't HBO finally remastering The Wire?

Over and out.

Um...

What's that for?  Did I get too close to a spoiler, or was that a comment on my inability to (Breaking Bad SPOILER)

Yes, I believe it's on sale for digital purchase now and coming to BR this summer.

It is absolutely worth subscribing to HBO for a few months just to access HBO Go. So much good content.

N-N-N-Necro!

OK I'm watching and loving this show. I'm now on the final season and am stumped by the events of an episode.  Can anyone help?

It pops up every few months.  I've seen a lot of people fall for it.

El Camino was really good.  Lots of great callbacks and cameos. Paul is really great and there is lots of Todd weirdness.

Yeah.  I feel odd about it.

In a sense, it was a needless exercise.  I don't really feel like it gave us anything truly new for the franchise....

...but fuck but it felt good to spend a few more new moments with those characacters and that world (which is not Saul's world).

2020 will be the year I gave up all hope.
