I'll start dumping silvers in the resource stockpile? The 6 slots are they just 6 allocated to me? Or to the whole town members?

The whole town by all appearances. I'm going to swing by and drop off the stuff for a barracks and some money.

The Avalon guys haven't been attacking us though have they? Or did I just not notice?

Yeah, they stopped attacking us once I started to perma KO their town back in lvl 20-25.  Then they called the Coopers for help.  It was hard at first but Cooper gave me some free lvl by losing while trying to KO me with the zergs.  It was funny because I went up a lvl before they dropped my healt so I was back at 100% healt.  Then I got a new gun and it was game over for Cooper.  So they called Eagle, of which one guy still win 50% of the time against me.

Don't put anything into the stockpile unless it's on the needed list. You only get six slots to start with and if you fill them up with random items, you need to destroy stuff to make room.

If you click on the HQ in the fort it shows you what's needed.

For now:

HQ (lvl2) - 2 toolboxes, 2 saws, 2 maps
Barracks (lvl1) - 2 rolls of cloth, 2 cotton, 1 hammer
Resource Stock (lvl2) none

I think those three are the priority to build up; I'd do the resource stock first. I saw a couple of forts on world 1 that had level 3-4 stockpiles less than a day after being founded; and it gives us a lot more slots for products.

Yeh Avalon haven't attacked us ever

Not true. They were among the very first to attack us in week 1. In fact their leader attacked me while I was working on some menial level 10 leveling job, attacked me again an hour later and knocked me out, and then sent me a telegram two days later when I was out of town (to avoid being dueled by her yet again) begging me to join her town. I think my reply was along the lines of "You're schizophrenic - I already made a deal with your other personality."

They then had some other soldier KO'ing our workers in weeks 2-3 and we complained, and that stopped. Then after a couple of abortive attempts at trying to get the Coppers to understand the meaning of the term 'truce', we told Copper Creeps that we would only consider peace with them if they kicked out half their members and declared war on the Avalon folks. So they ran to the Avalon folks who came back with a handful of people for a couple of days. We ignored them.

I have tool boxes and one map. Might be time to start going back to chat actively again.

I actually started one in the town forums just hasn't been finalised. But yeh best to start with barracks and then not sure what the rest do seems a lot of stuff isn't doing anything yet.

Does anyone know what the benefits of levelling up buildings are?

The help file says that resource stocks gain 6 slots per level (probably useful to get level 2 or 3 first here, then switch). The barracks improves the player recovery with each level. There's no explanation of what improving the HQ does. I'm guessing that improving the defensive structures (walls, gates, towers) increases the number of people who can use them, or the bonus they grant.

edit: levelling up the resource stock allows you to bank more money in the fort for construction. N.B. Money paid into the fort cannot be recovered by any means (or so says the help file).

I know the towers and protective barrier are supposed to give specific bonuses to the defenders in battle, but not sure if it has been implemented yet.

Oops, only have 6 Toolboxes. Should be enough for now. We could use cash in that fort too to keep constructing.

I'm going to work on resource items once I hit Lv. 53 and can use my new dueliing weapon (< 100 XP).

World one has a fort battle called on a large fort (the county one in and one up from the bottom-right corner). It starts in 17 hours or so. The fort only has a couple of thousand construction points, so I guess we should be on our toes from the get-go.

Someone just dropped a bunch of bullshit in the fort.  I had to delete the wood to make room for cloth.  Regardless, barracks is now unlocked, whatever that means.

It looks like the stuff gets consumed right when you unlock (as opposed to when you get finished building it), so unless I'm misunderstanding something there's nothing preventing us from churning a bunch of goo in there and unlocking the buildings quickly, even with only 6 slots.

Unless, you know, some douche clogs up the works.

J'accuse!

If anyone has a nail put it in there it will swallow up some items by unlocking the gates building.

Probably need a builder for that one; it comes from a high level Construction job.

I definitely don't. I'm too hybrid for any sort of high skill anything. Also, I just deposited every red cent I had into the fort, so I can't afford one fo the new guns. And since I'll be building the fort, I won't be able to make money. I r almost useless.

OK I put in the nail and unlocked the Gate. Then I added in a couple of other items I had and unlocked something else. There are currently two empty slots in the resource bin.
