She is in fact a songwriter too. E.g. on her Christian pop/rock album she released as a teenager she either co-wrote or wrote by herself all the tracks on the album. |

I suspect she's listed as a cowriter on many of these songs in the same way that Avril Lavigne was when she convinced her songwriters to change the line "take off all your stupid clothes" to "take off all your preppy clothes." At the very most, she may have worked on the lyrics but the song itself speaks to being put together by a very highly-paid producer who specializes in things like this. And no, I don't differentiate her from other girls doing the same thing. This is like Willa Ford, she's hot and sings about doing naughty stuff. It ought to pass quickly.
