I had never heard of her before but that first picture was absolutely stunning.  Everything about it was awesome.  I loved the stupid button necklace, the ugly dress and the slice of pizza.  It was amazing because despite all that she had the most beautiful eyes and facial expression I can remember.  There's just something about that picture that makes it hard to look away (hyperbole incoming) like the Mona Lisa.

I didn't even realize it was the same woman in the other photos, in those she just looks like some hot chick with big breasts.

The part where I assumed it was candid was based less on the quality of the photo, and more on my belief that females generally don't care to be photographed whilst stuffing greasy pizza down their cake holes.  Of course, that may not apply to hot bi-curious pop stars.

In fairness I think the reason people get so ultracritical of celebrities they'd never stand a chance with on the itarweb is twofold. 1) You'll never stand a chance with them and thus there's no reason (on a psychological level) to cut them any slack, for any reason and 2) They're already being held to an impossibly high standard, thus having effectively been reduced to being some artistic artefact they become fair game for any criticism that can be justified.

Guys don't hate women (for the most part, there are some real winners out there though) guys also aren't stupid enough to think they're somehow above screwing Cameron Diaz if she offered it (I'm sure not in case she's reading this). The fact that I will also never meet any of the girls that get subjected to ubercriticism and the sheer amount of make-up/touch-up that they receive in official shoots means that there's a point at which they stop being human and start becoming paintings that lead lives outside the canvas. The fact that other people think they're amazing or emulatable for this only makes my criticism feel that much sweeter.

Of course I now conclude with stating that I don't delight in ripping women apart for not appearing their best (I still enjoy ripping them apart for being so photoshopped in their photos that they may as well have had some random stand in for them). My point could probable be just as well stated with "They make shitboats of money from idiots by selling their image. If I want to criticise their product then fuck them for being hurt." This characterisation of course ignores the dehumanising aspect of their profession (for both sides) but is probably infinitely more satisfying to say.

I've met some celeb and super model women thingies.  Usually on the arms of some musician or sports guy.  The ones that are famous themselves mostly seem to be total smelly slobs until they hit around 40 or so.  Then they go mostly normal.  The hanger-ons have incredible tans and perfect toenails and have dumped the musician or athlete and married the guy in charge by the time THEY hit 40.  It might be strange but it happens a lot.  Also, since I'm not thin or gorgeous or anything that they are, we always get along fine.   I present no competition to anyone for anything.  Happily.   

Having said all that, women in those circles still seem to get dumped by musicians and athletes much more often.  There are a ton of very beautiful women around those sorts of circles.  I pretty much hate nearly everyone I ever met during my working life.

Depends on the hair. Sometimes it's length, sometimes it's....consistency. My hair gets oily fairly quickly; it's visibly noticeable when I get around the 20 hour mark.

But I keep my hair fairly short, so the extra shampoo is negligible.

I worked on some of the material for the Sesame Street season 41 presskit.

They just  had me pulled all references and images to Katy on their website, as well as pulling the segment from the show - not that it matters at this point.

My issue stems not from letting our children see nudity.  That's what the media is focusing on and frankly, that part is only to drive headlines.  I allow my five year old to view almost any type of art in a museum or gallery hop that she wishes.  Of course, if it is graphic I'll turn her away, but I'm not embarrassed of the body and I'm trying to instill in her that she should not be, either.

I take issue with the lack of respect towards the institution.  Again, I wouldn't wear a speedo to my wife's next christmas party.... there's a time and a place for everything.

For me, I have no issue with the video itself.  I don't thnk the dress or her body style is an issue.  My only hesitation on this is that I know what she does for a living and *that* is what I am not willing to expose my kids to at the moment. 

I can get over that though.  I think it is really very low risk that my 2 year old will sneak onto my computer and search for Katy and find her other pictures and videos that are a bit over the top for a child.  However, I think that is what sticks in peoples heads.  They've seen Katy as she is in videos and websites right up until this video. 

So, when they see it they instantly think of rubber dresses, croutch shots, sexual innuendo, nearly naked scenes, etc.  It so contrasts against "Sesame Street" that the mind can't seem to recognize that the children don't know all those things and just see a pretty lady having fun with Elmo.  Then compound that with a dress that is not quite typical for "Sesame Street" attire and you get the complaints...

I'm one of those guys who hates the overly made up magazine crap.  If you want to go light and whatever, I'll deal with it, but the plastic barbie doll look puts most people right in my uncanny valley.

It's not just the makeup.  Every one of those shots is heavily photoshopped.  We had some professional family photos taken by a family friend that is a well known national photographer and they look great.  They just don't look like us anymore.  I watched the process and there is a lot of photoshop even for that stuff.

Its a southern thing. Most southern families have a black iron skillet simply sitting on the stove at all times, because you arent supposed to wash them and they are inherently greasy so you dont put them away with the clean stuff. So they just sit there on the stove, waiting to fry something for you. With Crisco or BACON grease! Yum!

Bzzt. I cook in a cast iron skillet almost every night. There are several ways to clean them, I run mine under 140º water, run a scrubbie around it and then re-season on the stovetop. Let the pan get wicked hot, pop some oil in there until it smokes, then give it a final wipedown. I do leave it on the stovetop, though.
