I am really not sure I understand what the hell is supposed to be going on in the first one.   Why is he trying to cut a loaf of bread with a door-stop?

It's about dull knives. "Are your knives so dull you may as well be cutting with a block of wood?"

One of my secret desires is to be an actor. Not like Brad Pitt or anything. More like Al Leong, just a bit henchman in tons of movies...and to be the guy in the 'you wouldn't try cutting bread with a block of wood' examples on infomercials. I practice making the frustrated and confused faces all the time.

Backstory please? Sorry, not hilarious if you are not up on the Olympics.

She got chosen for the team over the average looking Asian girl (who actually beat her in Nationals). Funnily enough the pretty blonde one is being used in a LOT of sponsors ads (BP and Hilton are two I've seen).

Once Lindsay Vonn pulled out of the Olympics the USOC scrambled to find "attractive" white women for marketing purposes. Thus why Lolo Jones made the bobsled squad.

The Olympics is such BS. I feel sorry for the athletes, it's not their fault, but its been a bowl of bullshit since as far back as I can remember.

Yeah, questionable choice for the squad, she's been skating like shit. And she's a poor loser, so there have been a lot of those 'bullshit' moments of her, just not in the national spotlight. So we found that moment pretty funny. She was adopted as the 'story' girl for commercials, and they managed to make it work despite reality. Note she was in third place when that clip was shot. Then got knocked out by a chick who fell.

Anyway.

How bad did she skate to get knocked out by someone who fell.  Falling is still super-bad right?
