I'm guessing that so far, this doesn't log time for any non Steam games.

Also can't seem to get it to recognise the games that can be bought from Steam but that I had already (Deus Ex, Quake et al, other stuff) - it just loads the shortcut.  Anyone else managed to get aroudn this?

If you launch games via that shortcut it will log the time to your account (and also enable the in-game stuff), but no, it can't do per-game tracking for non-Steam games if that's what you were asking. For example, my profile shows no games, but still shows hours played.

Holy crap - you clocked 1400 hours playing Matrix Online.  I don't know whether to laugh at you or worship you!

I'd laugh at me too. That said, I met some guildies that I'm still with to this day... and uh.... I'm a sucker for effective healers in PvP?

Looking at those hours.....  Um, when do you sleep?  Get laid?  Eat???

I think it's time you admitted that you have a goddamn problem.

Uh, yeah, those numbers would be pretty bad if I hadn't been using Xfire for three and a half years. One of which I'll admit I didn't do shit, I left high school a semester early and got to sit around for a few months, it was awesome.

Right now though, I'm a fully functioning Economics major that sleeps as regularly as any other sophomore probably. I do have a nasty habit of eating on the run, but I appreciate the concern.

They're still bad.  Shit, I just divided the number of hours you have visible on that page (ignoring anything lower than BF1942, and any presumed console gaming you do) into 24 and came up with 309 days.  So basically, out of the 3 1/2 years you've had X-Fire you spent almost one entire year gaming.

Again, seek help.  You're way far into poopsock numbers, here.

Hey, who told you it's OK to use a pipboy gamer picture?

Btw, if you use the Overall Total Hours played, it's 322 days.  I've seen worse, but not by much.

I thought XFIRE only showed hours that the program was active, no actual hours played?  ie. leave WoW open and on the log in screen, and it logs hours and hours..

How can I say no to pipboy for mere pennies? This is the only one I ever imagine buying.  Unless they come out with a picture pack showing a unicorn humping a dolphin on a rainbow background.  That'd just be classy.

If Team Fortress 2 or a Team Fortress 2 Demo is released today, we will try our damnedest to have a server up for it. If that means buying a new Windows server, so be it.

God damn those bastards.  After 9 years of waiting they release the demo right after my fucking vacation ends.  Assholes!

I don't want the whole Orange Box either, I just want my damn TF2.  I wonder what you have to preorder to get in on the beta?  Sorry, I'm at work and can't look.

Preloading TF2 as we speak.   :-D

I wavered for a second over the Orange Box, but I do definitely want TF2, and Portal, and Ep 2.  And all of those together are worth $45 easy.  So I'm happy.

Those might be worth $45, but I'm against it in principle.  I just don't want to buy something twice, it's silly.

Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 are included for free actually. Really, everything except Team Fortress is included for free. I definitely did not pay for that other stuff a second time last night when I preordered at least.

Either you figure that HL2 and Ep1 are free and that TF2, Portal, and Ep2 are $15 each, or you figure that HL2, Ep1, Ep2, TF2, and Portal are $10 each.  You're spending the same amount of money either way.  And either way it's a pretty good deal given the quoted individual retail prices of everything in there (TF2 $30, Portal $20, Ep2 $30).

TBH for how much I loved Ep1, I'd merrily pay $50 for Ep2 on its own.  To say nothing of TF2.  Those are both slam dunks.  Portal I reserve judgement on until I actually play it, but even without knowing whether it sucks it's worth at least $20-$30.
