CNN's online page has 2 stories (one dedicated to a 3rd place geter) and lots of ads.

The offical athens sites has news but it's sandwitiched between ads for the Atheanian transport system.

Abc.net.au has good news following Australian stories, but stuff all else.

Where is everyone getting their news about it from?

I'm guess that for most people here, the answer is "nowhere."

Yahoo.  What?  I'm serious.  It's not deep coverage but they seem to touch base on most things.

BBC seems to have excellent coverage. With video feeds if you're not in the US as well, fucking NBC.

Yup. Reality TV was invented in the 70s.

I use archaic writings called newspapers! Since I work midnights, I also watch a lot of it on the nightly reruns.

I think maybe they mean the football pre-season. Damn, the Bills drafted a nice rookie QB imo.

Based on what I've seen of televised coverage, I'm guessing that similarly tyrannical Terms and Conditions are imposed on ticket sales.

I enjoyed how all this appears on a page subtitled "In the true spirit of the games".

I always enjoyed the Circus of the Stars thing on CBS.

As for Olympic News, I have ESPNRadio.com streaming at work all day long so I get plenty of updates from them. Makes watching the event 8 hours later kinda pointless to me.

I might be bothered to watch some of the coverage if it was closer to live. Unfortunately, Greece is on the other side of the world, so all we get is NBC's insipid coverage. God I fucking hate their 'Rah Rah America' bullshit.

Crew vs. Canada.  The fucking announcer was going off like it was the Miracle on Ice.  I don't really need some network tool going off every five minutes with some sort of drugged up hyper-patriotic attitude.  I'm watching this for some light entertainment, and if necessary I'll use the mute button.

The only 'sport' I pay any attention to is women's beach volleyball, and I really don't need any voice over to help me appreciate the sport.
