UT2k4
Deck 17
No BFG
Deathmatch
Time Limit, not Killcount.

Other stage suggestions?

Should it be an epic time limit?

Any mods?

Week after christmas or week after new years?

No mods I say. I haven't played UT2k4 in months and I'm still confident I'll destroy you.

I don't have UT2k4. Or BF2...

Anyone for an F13 game of SourceForts? :)

I'm actually going to abstain, probably.

My primary video card is useless for gaming right now. I have a PCI card I could toss in, but then I run into the problem of not even having the disk space to install anything, because I still need to buy a DVD burner and enough dual-layer DVDs to back up about 120GB of stuff.

I gave my copy of 2K4 to a destitute gamer.

Would be down for FarCry/HL2/CS/BF2 though.

What about a Defcon tournament?

We could also all learn how to play Star Chamber and do that - at least it's free.

I'd be up for a Counter Strike game too.

Defcon would be humorous. Would also embody the spirit of what we're doing I think.

Someone needs to make a  Most Dangerous Game PC title. Or at least a twisted version. One guy owns an island (server admin) and sets things up while everyone else is handed a pistol (or whatever weapon) and they hunt eachother. Good stuff.

Better yet, we can make it schild's favoritest game ever by basing it on Battle Royale instead. :P

I don't particularly endorse making a game where teenagers are on an island killing eachother... but...

I see what you did there.

I'm down with UT2k4 or BF2.

I have the discs for both of those handy and at the ready.

I'm rusty as hell, but it'd be fun.

As long as it was arranged for a decent time, I'd be down with an epic length of time.

Civ 4 FoH mod!  I am loving it so much, would be nice to have a player competition.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

FoH...? Fires of Heaven?

You play an uberguild competing against other uberguilds to advance your guild towns and finish content faster then everyone else? In the Civ4 setting?

Ah, okay. That makes a lot more sense.

So... like Heroes of Might and Magic - Civ style. It seems like we'd need a game that supports a mass amount of people, though.

ffh is brutal.  Especially if you play a small map.  You truly have to play to your civs strengths or get overwhelmed.  Hell, even if you are doing well barbarians roll in so damn fast you have to stay on your toes.

Especially if the orc kin spawns next door.  I have lost my capital more than once due to him rolling in and WTFPWNing me.

I still haven't gotten around to downloading that.

Your description above (Brutal Civ) doesn't exactly appeal to me though. I reserve Brutal play for games that don't give me all the options a game like Civ has. I play Civ for the culture/tech advancement.

Hey, how about we do the feats of strength stuff all throughout Janurary? It would give us more chances to play more games.

Guys, just for the record, one of the reasons I picked UT2k4 is because it'll run on my machine.

Heh. If you all want to do CS:S or BF2, that's cool, but I can't be part of it. I can't run that stuff higher than 800x600. And even then, the framerate isn't high enough. It's a wonder I ever got through Half Life 2. I ran that at 720p. :P
