I have been logging in all my old toons since the patch came out, just to eyeball them all and see if any of the changes made might somehow stimulate me to play WoW for more than 30 minutes at a stretch.
Anyway, on Geiss the Orc Hunter, my old ED main (and one of the founding members of the short lived F13 guild boo hoo) I have Snarler as a pet. I noticed today that even with him being completely untrained he has reverted to all 100's in resists, IE - his pre-nerf self.
I know this isn't major, but I haven't seen anyone anywhere mention it, and I thought it was sort of cool. And by cool I mean I might be able to somehow profit from this bug. I haven't been this pleased since I had pre-nerf Lupos in the stable.

Uh... pet scaling maybe?
What level is your Hunter and is he in relatively decent gear?

There's no way gear alone could give your pet 100s to resist. Perhaps you trained resists for your pet?

Nah, I thought that too, but for one my Hunter is only level 43, and Snarler is completely untrained because he is at -37 training points loyalty level Rebellious. I know because I had just finally managed to find and tame him before I drifted away from playing on ED at all. Weird huh? Maybe it will sneak by. Mwa ha.

I can confirm that this bug is back. Also, although they claimed to normalize attack speeds, they did not, so fast attack speed pets continue to have a fast attack speed. They did, however normalize the frenzied attack speed, so a 1.0s cat attacks at 1.4s frenzied while still hitting like a 1.0s pet. Bonus. Not necessarily a bug, but highly exploitable with the new mechanics are top-tier wind serpents (such as the level 60 Sons of Hakkar in ZG). These have a lightning attack which is scaling as per normal attacks based on a hunter's attack power. However, they are instant cast with no cooldown, requiring 50 focus to cast. Two points in Go for the Throat will generate 50 focus fr your pet every time you crit. Combined with the absurdly fast GM/HWL bow and Improved Aspect of the Hawk, they'll be pumping out 250 damage non-crits ridiculously fast.
There are loads of bugs. Take off all your armor, and check your base agility. Now check your base critical strike percentage. At 122 agility (Orc level 60), I had 1.5% (this affects all classes, though differently, and applies to dodge, etc). Grab a new level 60 pet (such one of the Sons of Hakkar mentioned above) and feed it and fight with it. After a week, see if it has gained any loyalty. Very unlikely, though a handful of people report it happening in 5-man instances. Take a pet to a battleground and let somebody kill it - you'll be rezzing it yourself and paying for food, since the spirit rezzers have forgotten pets. Drop an ice trap and pull a warrior into it, before it's even frozen him, you'll have broken the trap with a melee swing (same is true of a close scatter shot). Feign death and have a single mob of a linked group resist - all mobs will continue to maintain aggro.
Some of these bugs had been reported, addressed and fixed on the PTR. There are even heaps of ancient bugs/behaviours resurfacing - winterfall fire water affecting ranged attack power, Macintosh Expose keys being cleared, etc. I haven't yet tried equipping both quiver and ammo pouch, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was back too. I'm of the opinion that they patched the live servers with the wrong software, and that their database version control is fubared. Oops.

Something is seriously screwed somewhere. I've only noticed the rezzing with a dead pet thing -- pisses me off something fierce, especially since I've skipped Improved Revive Pet for the moment. That's killing me in BGs. I've actually rezzed my pet (had him at angry or unhappy or whatever his least happy is) and told him to "stay" while I went and suicided against a bunch of clothies.
That way when I rezzed he was happy again.
I'm also a little annoyed at all the damn snakes running around.
What's the deal with normalization? Everyone going to 2.0 attack speed? I could see that being a serious help to Devs trying to balance pet talents and gear scaling.

Were these problems not showing up on Test?

Were these problems not showing up on Test? They might have, but a lot of them seem unconnected with the patch. That's kind of the weird part -- a lot of stuff is broken that's old bugs, come back to haunt. And then the honor nerf patch that seems to have screwed a lot of things...

As mentioned elsewhere, part of it is they patched a very old beta version. They picked some point 2-3 months ago and said "this is going to be the 2.0 patch" but have continued to make bug fixes, changes, talent tweaks, etc in the BC beta. None of the bug fixes made it live. Somehow that seemed like a good idea.

Part of it, yes. Some of these bugs aren't explained by the "patched an old beta" explanation. There are numerous bugs/behaviours returning that were fixed over a year ago. While its probably the case that they have used an older beta - the rogue talents suggest that - there's more. Something has gone horribly wrong with their software versioning, and its plausible that the loss of items is related, particularly if they are running version control off their databases.

My personal favourite is the current growl bug. for any mob that can be tanked with a single tank, you can stick your pet on it, give it 20 seconds to build aggro, and then NEVER pull aggro off it no matter how hard you try.
My guild tanked hakkar with the hunters Boar pet. Balls to the wall DPS and NOTHING could aggro off it. They went through Hakkar like a hot knife through butter.

Whats even better, is that since Hakkar cant Mind Controll a Pet, they never had to deal with tank swapping or anything like that either. Just heal the pet, heal the people who occasionally get hit by corrupted blood, and burn the shit out of Hakkar.

You still have to do the son of hakkar poison bit though, yes?

Yeah, but I suspect it's easier when your tanks don't have to run back to get poisoned. Only "healthy" thing Hakkar is sucking off of is the pet. Plus you don't have some mindcontrolled/sheeped guy running around.
