I mostly use Office 2000.  One really annoying feature of 2007 is that the two Word versions reinstall themselves every damn time I open a file if I last opened it in the other Word.  And steal file associations.  At least Excel and PowerPoint have the decency to keep my old file associations and just open if I use 2007.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

The snow here is mind-boggling. I seriously have not seen anything like this. It's a miracle that none of our trees have lost limbs yet. But one of the gutters in the back is starting to buckle from the weight of icicles on it--I got up on the roof yesterday to knock them off but that's not practical to do again tonight. Nothing to be done about it at the moment.

I had off today, I imagine I have to go into the office tomorrow most likely.  I'll sit there and get nothing done most likely.

Are you getting paid?

Yup.

That's not the point though. I don't even want to imagine the sort of work waiting for me. And my comp time is probably shot to shit, but who knows. And it will be interesting trying to take a week off this month or next, seeing as I was already out of the office for a week last month for work, lost a week here now.

I was reading another Forum, and in a discussion about what blogs you read a poster mentioned their own blog at cesspit.net...

Whatever happened to HRose?  Did he catch a ban here?  When is the f13 "Where are they now?" show going to air?

Edit:

Scanning his blog, it looks like he got in an edit war with one of the mods at said forum.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Another two feet of snow on top of the two feet of snow we got the other day.  What fun.  NOT.  Oh, and it's going to snow on Monday!  Bleh.

Yea, we got the Winter Olympics starting here tomorrow, and we haven't had a single inch of snow in the city in two months. I don't think the temperature has dropped below 8c (46F) in the last two months. Warmest winter I can remember.

Got a truck? You're welcome to haul some of that snow west for us.

Apparently, Jackson, MS is slated to get between 1-6" of snow tonight/tomorrow. Which for us really is the Frostpocalypse (2.0 - we had a scare of this earlier in the year that ended up being nothing but a freeze - busted water mains but no snow). I'm hoping we get out of work early today and if it's icing on the roads tomorrow, I will not be driving in. Drivers are bad enough in good weather here, toss a few snowflakes there way and they go batshit with cars.

Another interview next Thursday.  If it's as exhausting as the last round I might need to start hydrating and resting now.

I am tired of going through the fucking Funny Picture thread and being expected to read a god-damned wall of fucking text.  Put that fucking shit into the Funny Picture of Text thread.  Fuck.  Work all god-damned day, lie down for an hour before realizing I can't sleep, then I have to try to read some fucking six-point wall when all I want is to see is a god-fucking-damned a picture of someone overreacting to a water balloon or a dog being sprayed in the face with a sprinkler.  Shit.  You motherfuckers fail at visual comedy.

I am tired of going through the fucking Useless Conversation thread and being expected to watch an unending parade of multi-media.  Put that fucking shit into the Useless Pictures or Funny Media thread.  Fuck.  Work all god-damned day, goof around for an hour before realizing I can go home, then I have to try to watch some silly video to get a joke when all I want is to read a bit of inane babble or the trite minutia of someone's day.  Shit.  You motherfuckers fail at amusing me, so I have to do it myself.

Well my day was rather uneventful, I watched snow white with my daughter and had some dastardly good races in the awful disney Cars game with my son.
But enough of that inane stuff, here is a multimedia link.

Whatever you do, if you're looking at a Golf, don't drive the R32.

Why does that movie make people so crazy?   I'd read an article a month ago about people saying they were depressed because Pandora doesn't exist and it's "So perfect."  They, too, longed for a head dick.

Yeah, particularly because the R will be here later this year.  Also, not spending 35k on a Golf.

My friend used to have an R32, it's an amazing car, if I was 20 I would mortgage my soul for one.  But anymore, 0-60 in 5.2s isn't as interesting to me as low noise levels and 45 MPG.

Now, if they brought the GTD over, well, I would be all over that.

low noise levels

Ironically, precisely why I got an SI rather than the R32. Anyone who has driven a Type-S knows how quiet they are, particularly at idle (is the engine off?). I just couldn't go back to loud cars after driving the RSX for 7 years. That said, I tried my DAMNEDEST to get the 2004 GTI 337 that was at the Audi dealership down the road but someone else beat me to it.

My mileage is... mediocre in the SI.
